Philipsburg? I think it is Crime report central...whats up with that place and all the petty crimes? I am forced to read the CDT here at work (terrible newspaper IMO) and something happens there every night that usually involve spray painting, racial epitaphs or domestic violence. True Altoona/Johnstown is no different but compare the sizes of the areas.

Like moxham123 said...."Play for those couple people so they will tell other people"...so next time your there, there will be a few more and a few more, and so on and so on...
I always play with the feeling one show leads to 2 more shows (even if it's somewhere else) and 2 people lead to 4 more the next time..(we hope....LOL)

I have to admit I hit auto-pilot some in SideStep and other bands (esp. Lone Wolf), but NEVER in .OO Buck. I love playing that stuff, and I don't care if there's a crowd or not. I know that's cliche, but in my case it's true. Obviously, in the Altoona area, the bar patrons who are really gonna be moved by George Jones and Buck Owens are few, so we didn't exactly break any fire-code capacity statutes, but I still hit every note like my d*ck was on fire and my balls were catchin'. The chairs seemed to enjoy it, I guess. I'm really gonna miss it.------>JMS

At this point, yes. In the short term, I'm going to work on my bluegrass record and revive strummeracousticshow, and hopefully redo The Buck when I have better luck.

End of thread hi-jack. Please continue. :) --------->JMS

Crowds are highly overrated and are also very crowded.
