Actually, the point, which I thought was obvious, was that our beloved "leader" was caught on tape "inserting foot in mouth" at the expense of a blind person. Didn't think it needed explained.

hmmm, I would have to see the glasses before I could form an opinion. If they were those total wraparound style glasses to keep light out from all directions, then I'd be more inclined to rip on Dubyah. If they are some half stylish looking things that could pass as regular sunglasses, then I wouldn't think as much of it.

Either way though, it's just Dubyah being Dubyah when it boils down to it.

Believe me, if Duhhhh-bya does something worth being angry, I'll be more than ready to nail him (and there are plenty of examples already, and more sure to come.) I don't think this is a big deal. A bit of a gaffe, yes, but no major thing. How many of us have ever said something in jest to someone, only to realize the irony of it later and feel bad about saying it?

To wit.... Trying to be funny back around 1990 I was being a wiseass mocking Vanilla Ice, and said "Word to your mother" to a guy whose mom had died when he was 5 - how the hell would I have known that? I felt bad, and we talked later and it was no big deal. I'm sure we have ALL done something of this sort.

That being said, Duhhhh-bya does PLENTY of things that we really ought to be fired up about. I just don't think this is one of them.

I think Biff was being sarcastic. I also think (judging from the article) that the President's commentary was in no way intended to be hurtful. He just didn't know about the recipient's disability. When he was informed of the situation he responded in the proper manner and apologized. Bush sucks, but let's criticize him on pertinent issues rather than exacerbating non-issues.
He is very entertaining in his capacity to say the wrong thing at the right time, though.

I think Roberto was just taking a light-hearted jab at Mr. Bush. It's really not a partisan thing.

Though I'm sure this thread will grow to six pages in two days with everything about immigration law to the Iraq war. :D

The funny part is that I'm going to know exactly what everyone is going to say before they even say it. ;)

We have two cats who were born at our house and a third that was rescued. The other two cats won't let him eat at the same dish.

They're as pissed about the immigration situation as the rest of us ...

And don't get me started on the war in Iraq ...

Tony is thinking exactly what we're all going to say exactly 1 minute before we even say it.

Actually, I think Tony Saletan and Bassist_25 are actually one being inhabiting two different bodies within the same time/space continium.

My Balls smell horrible, I've been applying the ointment for weeks now.
Anyone know when you're supposed to rinse it off?

It depends on whether you are wearing sun glasses or not.
