I almost hate to admit it, but... I saw them live too and I have to agree with Bert/Evil, worst show I've been to. At the time, I lived a mile away from the Bryce Jordan and some friends had extra tickets. I never really cared for them either way...never owned an album, but never cared to pick one up after that live show...

If there was a God. He would strike down upon Billy Corgan with great vengance and furious anger.

I've heard mixed reviews about their live shows also. I still like them, and no one can take that away from me.

I think the Pumpkins were a big influence on the 90's.

Actually, I've never heard any more than the singles, so...who's to say I wouldn't enjoy an album...? But...

Billy Corgan's comments on the "ROCK IS DEAD" issue turned me off on them

In the words of Electric Frankenstein:

ROCK IS DEAD- BILLY CORGAN

THE SMASHING PUMPKINS ARE DEAD- ROCK

I used to own an EF shirt with that on the back.

I literally had that happen in the woods.
Had to use my favorite misfits shirt. Oh well.

Siamese Dream was the only album I bought. I like it and still listen to it once in a while, but never really turned into a 'fan.'

Lovefry in State College used to do a kick@ss version of Cherub Rock! I think that's why I bought the cd in the first place.

They have a lot of acoustic B-sides that are absolutely amazing...
The Box set they released in the late 90's had a lot of these and it seriously was life changing for me.....
