Please help...

Post by WitchChic »

Can you all please help me...well its actually for a friend...My friend lost her baby on saturday...Sparing the details, she was due very soon, and this was very unexpected...I know you all put on benefits all the time for ppl in need...They dont have the money to cover the cost of the funeral, and things they need to get so they can bury their daughter.. . I believe that someone is fronting the money, but they need to repay it asap... Is their anyway that I could put something together, I am asking here because I dont know what or how to go about doing it, I can do all the work putting it together if I knew what to do...The baby's dad was in the local band Trust Factor, is there any way we could do something, anything to help??

Here is the message on the flyer that the family put together to try to help get donations for the two of them...Please even if its just another idea that would help raise some money...

*there is a picture of the three of them here but I dont have a scanner*
Meeka Starr Yeager
April 15th, 2006
4lbs 8oz
Meeka was abruptly taken from this world before she had the chance to see it. Her parents Cindy Doughty and David Yeager are in need of help with the funeral cost for Meeka. Any donations would be greatly appreciated.
Thank- You.
I dont mean to beg really, its just that David's mother has been my best friend for 12 1/2 years and David is like my nephew and Cindy has been my friend for well over 8 years maybe more...This is truely hitting home...

Please help me get something together or give me any ideas to help them...

Thank you so very much for taking the time to read this and help me in anyway...

I'm sorry for the loss and having financial difficulty doesn't make it any easier. I can't make any guarantees on what me or the band can do since we've got our own issues right now but I'm sure you can get somethign going and find some bands to help. Basically select a venue, hall or outdoor location. Venues almost always go for benefits because they usually benefit more than anyone. A venue will usually let you have the event for free, they don't pay any bands and they sell lots of beer. After you make arrangments with a venue and set a date post for bands and I'm sure you will find some willing bands. after that its just promotion, promotion, promation. You could also think of things to sell to make money also. maybe Baddazerob or Griff will chime in and give you some tips.
Again, I's sorry for your friends loss
Don't bitch to me about the economy while you're still buying Chinese products.

I'm sorry to hear about this also. It is a very terrible thing to lose a child in the first place and to deal with the financial woes afterwards can be very difficult and stressfull. You should check with local stores and what not, most places will donate lots of stuff to raffle off at a benifit and someone will almost always donate tickets or flyers also. I hope everything works out for them and they have my deepest sympathy.

You should try the lions den in juniata.
It's right across from Where Cindy works, and you can have all ages shows there. The lady who runs the place may ask for a little piece of the door since they only open for shows but it's worth a shot.
I know Cindy pretty well and FedUp would definitely love to help as much as we can.

Metal works :) TY

I still have to find a place, Lions Den said yes, but not till June 2nd, which is ok if I cant get sooner, and they want 1/2 the cover charge no matter if its 20 ppl thru the door or 200 ppl...So Im looking around...Not to be ungrateful cuz anything helps but say 200 ppl come thru the door at 5$ thats 500$ to have to pay just to play...Seems a bit much... BUT im not saying no, cuz anything helps... TY and as soon as I find a place and a date I will let you all know :)
