Just got this head this week and haven't played it out yet. Have a job this coming Saturday. Anybody have one of these? Any experience with it?
I had been using the WT 400 and I got the WT 550 so I could run down to 2 ohms if I need to. The WT 550 sounds very similar to the WT 400 in my practice room. Can't wait to get it out and turn it up. I've been running the EQ flat and it sounds good.

Most of the Edens all have the same preamp section, so I imagine that it will sound very similar to your WT 400. Edens are famous for sounding good when they're flat, which IMO is a sign of a good amp. If you're in the music store trying out an amp and the first thing you have to do is add a lot of EQ, then it's not the amp for you.
I'd eventually like to own a Navigator preamp some day. So many cool gadgets yet so few empty rack spaces.
*LOL*

Your right Paul, it looks like exactly the same EQ. I did a little research and found that the extra power in the WT 550 won't really be all that noticeable, but when I add an extra cab and resistance drops to 2.6 ohms , is where I should see an improvement in output and headroom.

Yes, to get a significant increase in volume, you have to at least double your wattage. Pushing more air is the best way to increase output. I know that I was a lot louder when I added a second 4x10.
