Several months ago, my 14-year-old daughter turned me on to HIM and I gotta tell you, this band has some pretty cool stuff, both old and new.

We're covering "Rip Out The Wings Of A Butterfly," and it's one of my favorites we're doing right now.

I highly recommend checking out their stuff.

"Deadwing" - Porcupine Tree

"Lightbulb Sun" - Porcupine Tree

(I'd most likely have listened to MORE Porcupine Tree, however, additional PT CDs "not" burned for me by a friend haven't quite made it past the mutual friend they were given to.)

"The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion" - The Black Crowes

"Come Away With Me" - Norah Jones

"Me and Mr. Johnson" - Eric Clapton

"The Cream of Clapton" - Cream, Blind Faith, Eric Clapton, Derek and The Dominos

I've been listening to Blake Morgan's Anger's Candy these past two days. It's very well-written power pop stuff. If anyone's a fan of organic tube-amp guitar sounds, I would highly recommend this album. Some of the instruments used were the same exact ones used on Beatles recordings. Plus, Lenny Kravitz even does a cameo on one song.
"He's the electric horseman, you better back off!" - old sKool making a reference to the culturally relevant 1979 film.

I have to agree. I bought it about 6 weeks ago and I can't put it down. It is difficult to put a label on them.

Probably something few, if any, of you have heard of - though I would LOVE to know that some of you know these guys....

The Michael Stanley Band - Right Back At Ya (1971-1983)

Cleveland natives that are HUGE in C-town, but never quite got over the hump nationally. Great tunes.
