Hello Everyone,
Here is the recap of the December 7 edition of Q94's weekly local music program, "The Backyard Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on WBRX 94.3 and WBXQ 94.7.
Thanks to those “brothers from different mothers,” Balistic, for an interesting two hours (and for the free T-shirt and pullover hat). We discussed the band and their changes since the addition of new singer Mark McNelley nearly a year ago. We heard tracks from Balistic's new EP, “Transference,” and several lucky listeners won copies of the album. We also debuted a new song from the Poptart Monkeys.
This week's playlist:
HOUR ONE:
HALESTORM - “Tempest Holy Night”
BALISTIC - “Power”
FLORD - “4 Walls”
BALISTIC - “Purgatory”
STEPT ON - “Snowed In”
BALISTIC - “One of Seven”
HOUR TWO:
ROADKILL - “Santa Is a Big Fat Jerk”
BALISTIC - “Your World”
POPTART MONKEYS - “What Can I Do”
BALISTIC - “I'm A Liar”
NUM - “Shut Out”
BALISTIC - “Get It Right”
This coming Sunday, Dec. 14, our guests in the studio will be Altoona area blues trio Fat Vinny & the Wiseguys. We'll hear two new songs the group recently contributed to the “Rocksbury: Musicians for Kids” benefit CD, and find out the progress on the group's forthcoming third CD.
