What the hell is with all the shootings in altoona in the last few days??

The drive-by on 17th Street in broad daylight hopefully will wake up law enforcement and civic leaders to try to take action and do something about this, especially since that was close to the high school.

I heard the police sirens whiz by Q94 last night around 11:30 just before I left there. Apparently they were headed to Evergreen Manor after the gunfire there.

I did Pennsylvania Musician deliveries in town last night, and have been doing the Altoona deliveries at night for the past several years. After this current wave of shootings, I might have to rethink that strategy.

Then again, the 17th Street shooting happened during the 11 AM hour this morning, so it's not limited to nights around here any more.

Maybe I'll get my car bulletproofed.

I would like to see the statistics of how many of these criminals have prevoiusly been living in the halfway house in town and how many are longtime local citizens.
I personally think the owners of these halfway houses should relocate them in there local communties. From what I've heard some of the owners do not reside in Altoona.
Anyone out there have any info?

please people, I grew up in Philly, this is mild but i can see the concearn for everyone has. Its was once a one horse town but philly and DC and pittsburgh arent getting any smaller. All the riff raff is coming our way. Just wait till they get that I 99 done, will get alot worse around here. Chin up people, you see your tax dollars workin hard, dont ya?

This is why I sleep with my Kimber Custom Target .45 at arms length at night. One clip in and 2 in the holster. Just two nights ago the neighbor said at 2 am. some dickhead was prowling between the houses. Whatca' gonna do?

Altoona sux the big one anymore. The worst part is, there are a number of venues we've been scoping that we'd like to take the bad daZe road show, but is it really worth the risk of some nut whipping out his nine and bustin' a cap in our asses?

About the whole shooting situation, what really pisses me off is this.

Last night in indiana, i was park on main street one minute after 2, and got a fuckin ticket. Indiana cops only serve one purpose, metermaids. Indiana had like 5 cop cars on that block last night by wolfendales, but Altoona cant get a bigger grant to get more cops to where the crimes are, but indiana can hire 5 cops per block to run meter maid duty? Bullshit. I mean, in indiana, if you even look at one of their beloved parking spaces without putting a quarter in the machine they give you a fuckin ticket. Altoona gets shot up while government money goes to meter maids. Something is wrong with this picture.
