Got a chance to get to FUP Studios owned by Dave Moses and sit in on the House of Cain CD session. Should be ready real soon. Sounded really good...
Also got a chance to hear some 4 Days Dirty and Fat Vinny that Dave did. Real fuckin cool. Great job by all the musicians and a fantastic job once again by Dave.
Peace,
Chad

Thanks
Thanks for the compliment Chad.
The whole recording process has changed so much over the past 20 years that it is hard to grasp sometimes. What use to be assumed now has to be re-evaluated. The "Mastering" process use to be a bunch of industry "hush hush" but with the introduction of tools like "Wavelab" and "Waves" I am not so sure anymore. I believe that with the right experience and touch a "Commercial" quality master can be created in the local studio environment.
Anyone who is having problems with this or recording in general please do not hesitate to ask questions and I will do the best I can to answer.
My goal is to capture the artist and to most accurately represent their vision. That is why I do this, to create a slice of time, a vision of something more then the moment can hold.
House of Cain has something that is not apparent on first glance. I believe in them and in their music.
I also believe in all the bands that I have recorded. I can't record people that I don't like because I am inviting these people into my home to become part of my life for quite a while. I need to know the band and really know the music to make it magical.
There are many studios that can take in a band and in 20 hours record them and have a finished product, I am not quite at that level. I really need to "feel" the pulse of the band. I can't envision the outcome unless I know what the parts are. I guess it just takes me a while longer, that is why my prices are less then some others!
