Favorite Candy Bar

Post by SATAN »

Bad daZe hands out Snickers at every show, I am not much for Snickers. My question is what is your candy bar of choice.
Mine is Milky Way.

My fave is Hershey Almond. Also up there is 3 Musketeers, and Hershey was sampling with a mocha-flavored bar last year I thought was pretty good.

I don't have the sweet tooth I used to have as a kid any more, and I have to be careful, too much of that chocolate stuff stings my teeth!

Reese's Cup, been around forever. As a kid we called them REE-sees. It's the "crack" of candy bars in my opinion.

Chunky with raisins, Marathon, and Chocolate-covered Payday. All three are gone, and Marathon will never be back, last I heard.
I always go back to that memory... cruising the backroad with the windows down, the air smelling like the first cutting of hay, a Marathon bar, a peach Nehi, and a buddy, heading somewhere we don't necessarily need to be.
Ouch. I'm 42, not 72. Next I'll be talking about my sacroiliac, or how Medicare won't pay for a new truss.

I prefer a Whachamacallit (however it's spelled).

I like whatever has peanut butter and chocolate in it....
Resee's Cups are great. I'm also a big fan of Gardner's PB Meltaway bars.

I've been known to be quite partial to Baby Ruth bars. Love those things. Also enjoy Twix on occasion, and KIT-KATS (frozen)!! And the original...the Hershey Bar!

Hey John, I thought that Chunkies where gone too, but you can still find them at the buck stores!!! I was jonesin' one day for one and the little lady said they had them at a Dollar Gen. so I went and bought a few. I am complete now.

John,

Gabriel Brothers has usually has Chunky bars. The regular size ones are only 25 cents each and the Big Chunky is 59 cents there. Nestle makes Chunky bars now. Also, I have ssen the Marathon bars at a few stores. The Candy Shop on market Street in Johnstown sells them.

I like many of the ones mentioned already and I also like the Bun candy bars and Zero bars.

I gotta agree with Jim on the Hershy Almond bar ! That's prolly my fav of all time but , Caramello, Kit Kat, Almond Joy, Whatchamacallit, Twixx, Nestle Crunch get a honorable mention too. I would have to say that a Score Bar has to be one of the best candy bars of all time but , it is the most expensive for it's rather small size, must be the English Toffee. 8)

Oh man, that was a good one. Totally forgot about it until you mentioned it!

I'm partial to the mysterious Zero bar, Whatchamacallit, Payday, and anything with raisins.

Redawg, speak for yourself.

Snack size Fast Break (For some reason they taste better to me than full size Fast Break.), Baby Ruth, Reese's PB Cups, Caramello and the new Take Five. As long as it doesn't have raisins or coconut, it's pretty much all good!

Songsmith, I visited the Wilbur Chocolate Factory years ago...I can't recall which came first any longer, Hershey Kisses or Wilbur Buds...it's in Litiz, if I'm not mistaken, and so is/was(?) Michter's Distillery. They make/made(?) some excellent Sour Mash.

Now I know these aren't candy "bars", but from candy stores, I adore delectable Butter Creams covered in Dark Milk Chocolate and from Costas York in Schuylkill County, Peanut Rolls (basically round Butter Creams rolled in crushed peanuts) and "Club Sandwiches"!!! A Club Sandwich consists of saltine crackers with peanut butter sandwiched in the middle and then they're covered in chocolate. Yes, I do have an enormous sweet tooth that I have to keep under control. :D
