New Song Posted...Please Critique!

Post by Mackovyak »

Hey all. Got the first single up from my new album (should be released in the fall). Recorded by yours truely in my studio (I keep saying opening soon, if no more damn delays) in Myrtle Beach.

Let me know what you think, it's a cover of M.J. Wilkinson's 'Long Black Veil'

it's the first song on the player.

Thanks.

That's strange. It comes right up for me on a few different computers. I don't know much about myspace though, I just do what it tells me.

Try the download rather than just playing it??? I don't know.

It was OK. I'd recommend re-tracking the vocals with TC Helicon or Antares pitch correction.

Yeah, I haven't had the coin to blow on any pitch correction yet. One of the reasons this studio isn't open yet!

I think the vocal doubles are what's throwing that out of key warble in. I think I'm going to take the double out and maybe throw in a harmony in certain spots.

I'm listening right now with just the main vocals and they seem to cut through the mix a little better as well.

Sounds good.........but................

..............you just can't beat 'Ain't no ho in Pompano!" I forgot all about that recording until now. I think I just peed my pants a little laughing at that again.

Ha! Yeah, old Dan still cracks me up on a weekly basis. I need to dig out that master disc. It has the following hits on it.

Dan sings 'Take it Easy'

Dan sings 'Some Backstreet Boys Song'

Dan sings 'You've got to Hide your love away'

Dan sings 'Ain't No Ho in Pompano' & 'Ain't No Ho Dance Remix'

HEY!

You should get your own infomercial and sell that CD. :D
