What has been the worst show you have been too?

Mine was the slipknot show with fear factory and Chimaira. Believe me spellbound can back me up on that one. I was told that slipknot had alot of energy but when i went and saw them i left 4 songs into their set. they are turning into stone sour. Which their is nothing wrong with their music but i think that Corey should separate the two. Other than that fear factory and Chimaira was awesome.

yeah, Corey Taylor was out of breath basically the whole show and half talked all his lyrics. i hate when singers do that!!!!!!!
Id have to say the worst show i went to was a Coal Chamber show along time ago in DC. two male members of Coal Chamber kissed eachother on the mouth that night. Meegs (guitar) and Dez (vocals) licked eachother's tonsils in front of everyone. bad, bad show.

Hard to believe, but I'd have to say Aerosmith in the Hershey arena. It was right around the time that they were "falling apart."

They were just going thru the motions and I don't think Joe Perry played one lead the whole show. They only played about an hour.

The worst band I ever had to watch was a band that opened for Overkill's DVD show in Jersey. Can't remember their name, but they had some fat chick dressed in revealing clothes

) on stage, who's only purpose seemed to be to tear apart dolls and throw them at the crowd. The crowd of course started to return fire.

Their "singer" liked to do a front flip and land flat on his back for some reason too.

Worst show for me was Deep Purple at the then Stanley Theatre in Pittsburg. They never showed up due to hepatitis and Buddy Miles band sucked big time! Big dissappointment cause I really Liked the "Them Changes" Album. The bright spot was ,instead of Deep Purple They had Foghat who just gotten together. This one I was really wasted on LSD. We could have turned in our tickets and gooten a refun. There were HUGE banners stating that Deep Purple had to cancel. We never saw the signs1 LOL

The worst for me was LA GUNS in Harrisburg at what used to be Club Met. They sucked so bad and it was really disappointing. The most disappointing show for me was Moonspell at Club Laga in Pittsburgh. I'm sure that some people thought the show was fine, but I love Moonspell and expected WAY more from them!!!

Franke & the Knockouts at Penn State's "Movin' On" Festival, spring 1983. The band themselves weren't particularly bad, but they only knew 8 songs and had to repeat two songs at the end of their set. Every other word out of the singer's mouth was an 'f-bomb;' given this band did pre-Bon Jovi/Journey-styled pop rock (their drummer was future Bon Jovi drummer Tico Torres) and the show was outside on the main campus of Penn State University, it was a bit out of place.

A runner-up would be the infamous first and last appearance of Ozzy Osbourne at the Bryce Jordan Center. The sound was horrible, I couldn't even make out the name of the first band on the bill, the reverb was so bad. Sepultura and Danzig (I think?) were respectable (despite the sound, still bad); Ozzy almost started a riot by bitching out BJC security and inviting everybody to come down out of their seats to the stage. The floodgates then opened and a mass of humanity poured down onto the floor, while worried security guards stood and looked dumbfounded. (I had sneaked a camera in and was afraid to use it with security guards standing close by, but once this fracas began, the guards had bigger issues to worry about than my camera, so I took pics!) Penn State president Graham Spanier announced the next day that "Mr. Osbourne will not be welcomed back." A bad concert for the horrible sound quality and near riot, but a great spectacle!

While you would think pop crap would be out of place at Penn State, I have always been quite perplexed at the choice of music by many or even most students up here. You wouldn't believe the mainstream pop/country/rap crap that is played and apparently enjoyed by this 'college' community. Not like other universities; I don't know what schools have students that like obscure 'college rock', but it ain't here. Thank God for the Nightcrawlers and other live bands up here that do great original music in this wasteland.
Worst shows? Well that would have to be the first 2 Bob Dylan shows I saw (Rec Hall - 80's), I love Bob NOT for his live shows that are very inconsistent. Last one was great though!

Red Hot Chili Peppers - the first Rolling Rock Town Fair - Anthony Kiedis' voice was horrible, and John Frusciante's guitar seemed out of tune, and constantly feeding back.....just completely abysmal

Korn - saw them open for Ozzy in 1996 at the Erie Civic Center along with The Deftones, and they were awful....Johnathan Davis ran onstage yelling "I'm a f**&^*ng faggot!" and it only seemed to get worse.....I remember a cigarette break during their set

and I have seen several opening acts that were victims of atrocious sound...Corrosion Of Conformity, Theory of a Deadman, Jerry Cantrell, Sevendust, and Fight (Halford's post-Priest band, but they were awesome....)

I saw 311 at the BJC back when they were touring for their Transistor album. 311 and Sugar Ray where awesome. 311 just smoked...and they played a little too!

At that time, I didn't even know Sugar Ray was heavy. Some of his older stuff really crunched.

But...

Incubus opened for Sugar Ray (who naturally opened for 311) and it was just aweful. The drummer wasn't even good enough to sit on stage! His kit was about 2 feet below the stage. You couldn't hear half of dude's vocals, and the comment of "Here, have a CD, there's naked pictures of our bass player in it." was just eh.

Then they got huge and everyone loves them now.

Anyway, that was the worst part of any show I have been to.

I didn't necessarily mean the music was out of place; it was 1983, and Franke & the Knockouts had just had a few Top 40 radio hits, so they were making the rounds and headlined at "Movin' On." I was more referring to the singer of a radio-friendly pop-rock band, dropping f-bombs left and right at an outdoor show on the HUB lawn, center of Penn State. It just seemed awkward and out of place, given the music and setting.

The worst i have seen was freaking Good Charlotte at BJC.... omg we took my cousins and my brother and we were in the pit one row from the front stage ,so it was like 3 hours of holding your piss ,,

Hmm, some memorable moments of badness:

Whitney Houston at BJC. (It was a date, forgive me.) She checked her watch several times during songs. She barely sang one note of melody all night, and instead went off on endless diva vocal masturbations while her backup singers sang the verse and chorus. And she brought out a rehabbing Bobby Brown for a prayer session.
KISS Psycho Circus tour at BJC. This was a letdown after their reunion tour, which I really enjoyed. The 3-D concept was maybe not the best idea. There's only so many times you can bear to see Gene Simmons' tongue sticking in your face. There were also a few times where Paul's guitar playing was visibly NOT matching up to what you heard coming out of the PA. Ace, unfortunately, was actually playing his guitar. I love Ace, but when that guy is off his game, he's WAAAYYYYY off!
Powerman 5000 opening for KISS at Mellon Arena. They used a lot of sequenced bits, and just kind of stood around and did nothing for minutes at a time. Not that they had many good songs at that point anyway. After the show, they went off the front of the stage and hung out in the audience. You could always tell where they were by the ten-foot circle of empty space around them! Maybe they forgot to bathe or something.

JP, was Prong on the bill at that Ozzfest? I remember Tommy Victor and maybe some other Prong members were in Danzig's band at that show. Which is fine, because Victor is one bad dude!

Most dissapointing show I ever went to was a band called AD. It was Kerry Livgren's post Kansas Christian band. They played great, sounded great but, Kerry stopped the show at about the 3/4 point and told everyone about his Christianity. No problem, kinda expected that. He then went on to denounce all of the Kansas songs that he wrote as meaningless and worthless and that he wanted nothing to do with that time of his life. I was crushed. So many of his songs meant a great deal to me when I was in Jr/Sr high. I remember in the parking lot, taking half a dozen Kansas cassettes out of my tape case and pitching them on the pavement. After his comments, his music didn't mean shit to me either.

JP, I saw this one, too!!! I almost forgot about it until you brought it up. I agree that it has to fall into one of the worst ever. It was awful. And, yes, it was Danzig. I loved them at this point and I was really disappointed. The sound was awful. I remember Glen Danzig being visible pissed off during their set.

I agree with Mr. Hatt on the Kiss show. I was working follow spot that night and was looking forward to the show and it was horrible. IIRC, the flaming guitar took a while to catch on fire.

The worst band that i ever saw in concert was actually one of the Creed shows i went to. I saw them at the BJC with Stereofuse. This was on november 22, 2002, on the last tour before they broke up. They weren't that horrible, but Scott Stapp was being a prick. I was suprised the show was that bad seeing as how i loved creed.

Aerosmith a few summers ago in Pittsburgh. Steve kept bitching at the sound guy and it kind of ruins the show when you are up front. It was like, ok...people don't pay money for him to walk over to the sound guy every so often. He was in Prick mode. Guess he didn't give a fuck.

The worst show overall was The Grateful Dead and Rusted Root at Three Rivers Stadium. I believe it was the summer of '95? About a month before Jerry died. Rusted Root wasn't bad but, I couldn't stand TGD.

The worst performance was Danzig at the BJC with the original Ozzfest tour in 1996. Ozzy encited a riot that night and got banned from the BJC for life. Ozzy also sounded horrible that night, but Mike Bordin was playing the drums which was more important to me anyway.
