Talent Survey.

Post by AugaDiFlow »

In your OPINION what bands in the blair county area exert great strenghts of talent...
THIS IS NOT ABOUT WHAT SIZE OF CROWD this is about the musicianship,,,,,

these bands aren't listed in a particular order......

Felix and hurricanes (hands down to felix and the boys)
Nitecrawlers (crawlers have such a unique sound)
plazma (improvisation is the hardest style of music by far)
In (Matt Day is an exceptional Guitarist)
Hexhed (Rob is probably one of the best drummers around)

I say Ricky Lee's band (with the exception of one member) is very very talented. If these guys are still playing with him:

Randy Rutherford- (just sick)
Pat McGinnis- (great bassist)
Clint Caruthers (sp)- (most solid drummer ever)
Dave Villani- (nothing needs mentioned, the name says it all)
Rick Wertz- (more than capable of playing great lead and adds great backing vocals)
.

All kinetic, no potential.

Another guy that is very good at ticklin the ivories and supposedly has perfect pitch is Mr. Harold Hayford that played in the Front and is now in The British Invasion.

Coinmonster last night....that's all I have to say!

Jon uses no guitar pick and tears it up with fingerstyle as well.
Rick plays bass like a madman.
Dave is like amazing....he could drum circles around me anyday!

'Eh he's good, but you're speaking as a fan of his, not as an objective person who has heard you both. I'm not saying anything further lest you become unbearable to be around. :D

Rob I agree totally...Jon Jon is amazing....anyone that can finger-tap while singing is good in my book....Coinmonster gets my vote...but I also have to say Nightcrawlers because they are all good musicians...and Noah puts alot emotion in his guitar playing....

This Spam question of yours was answered once before, if I recall correctly, by JP. Look it up, Troll, or visit Dragonfire's spot on the band page.

if you go to their myspace page - their DVD spot is on there with a brief clip of a performance on what was it - farmclub.com or whatever show it was on - it was USA network, Monday nites after wrestling i think.

If you go to their Myspace page, their DVD spot is on there with a brief clip of a performance on — what was it — farmclub.com, or whatever show it was. It appeared on the USA Network, Monday nights after wrestling, I think.

We used to play a lot of shows with a band from Mass. called Eastcide, they were on FarmClub before, said it was unreal. They just told FarmClub what kind of gear they wanted, beer they wanted, food they wanted, and when they got to California, everything was there waiting. I guess I didn't answer the question, but I'm going to say they ran out of money supplying gear, booze and food for bands!

I would say anyone who suits up on gameday. Why should I judge a blues guitarist vs. a metal guitarist? BB King vs Steve Vai? Kurt Kobain vs Robert Johnson?

Bit*chen, The Nightcrawlers play in Blair County though and I think that definitely qualifies them. :D

(I also agree with what Killjingle said.)
