Cheesiest Rock Video EVER!!!

Post by Bert|Evil »

I was just watching VH1 Classic's Metal Mania, and I saw a video that is clearly my vote for “Cheesiest Rock Video EVER”. The crazy thing is that I felt this way about it 15 years ago when I saw it for the 1st time.

The video is… Dokken’s “Breaking The Chains”

What’s your vote?

Yeah, I never did understand the whole air guitar thing going on in that video.

I can't think of one off the top of my head, but just about every Poison video I've ever saw was pretty damn hight on the cheese-factor.

"Hot Rockin'" by Judas Priest.

Look this up sometime on one of the file sharing networks if you don't remember, or never have seen it. Several stereotypical gay scenes in just the first 30 seconds, even a scene in a sauna! It's so bad it's hilarious! And this was years before Halford officially came out of the closet.

Had to be Rob's idea. ;)

I remember an episode of Beavis and Butthead where they ripped on this video. The camera pans quickly in on Schon and Butthead says "look at this gut Beavis".

Yup they're ride'n dirt bikes in that video Bert !

I was always a Billy Squire fan and I guess I still am but, seen on of his videos once and it was pretty bad, almost made me wanna hurl.

How about Van Halen they had some cheesy videos also.

"Cool Kids" (by Kix) was probably worse.

As far as the Van Halen vids go, has anyone ever seen the live vid for "Unchained"? Eddie screws up the first verse.

The cheesiest in my book would be stay hungery from twisted sister. Then any video they did was cheesy.

Also, Yes David Lee Roth was a vey good frontman. I however like Van Halen the best when they had Hagar ..

I'm voting for Lick it Up by Kiss. I hate that video and I think it's pretty cheesy. I hate most Kiss videos, though.

And I think DLR is one of the best frontmen of all time.

I agree with ya SavageHeart ! I can't belive I forgot about Lick It Up.
That by far has to be one of the worst videos of all time. How could Gene go from puke'n and spit'n blood to wearing pink half shirts?

I thought it was "My Kinda Lover" that he was rolling around on a bed with satin sheets. REALLY gay lookin video. I remember him promising his fans (the ones who were left  ) that he wouldn't do it again.

I think you're right Bag!" My Kinda Lover" had to be it and I remember him prance'n around in a pink shirt ,snap'n his fingers and roll'n around on the bed. Very ,very, gay Billy! I saw a interview with him once and he said it ruined his life in the music biz. What a shame.
