Steelers vs Colts priceless

Post by paul »

Here is a good one from the king of choke after the game. I think it speaks for itself. Image
Now Joey Porter is pissed off because the Steelers are picked as favorites.

It's the camera angle ... look at the shoulders ... both are 6' 5". Ben is listed at 241, while Peyton is listed at 230.

It also kinda looks like Ben has his weight shifted to his right leg and isn't standing straight up.

But...I thought Vandy was the choke artist in that game, personally.

Give me a f#@king break.

If he's America's quarterback, I'm moving to Canada to root for the Argonauts.

Looks like Manning is trying to get a sneak look of the plays on Ben's arm...

:D Why no surrender, you're just a "band wagon" Steeler fan after all,
aren't you? ...or you're pretending to be one at all... I say Ben is America's Quarterback. For one, he'd never whine and blame his team mates for losing a game.
They win and lose as a team. You want to talk about the American Dream of Football players every where? A Rookie's 2nd year and he's GOIN' TO THE SUPER BOWL! WHOO HOO!!!

yakeerose, no way. Ben's already a good quarterback (he's not "America's quaterback but he's a good one) and he's going to get even better. I can't say "great" cause we haven't seen enuf of him. Love the Steelers, was rooting for them ever minute of game against every team including the Colts, whom i have no special love for.

Having said that I like Manning. L like him a lot. All of America does too. Smthg special about him, he is a GREAT quarterback. You say "manning" and people's faces light up. One of a dying breed too because he's only one left that calls his own plays. Can Ben do that?? Do they let him? Nope.

I also think Manning's "call" was right, he had NO pass protection. Steelers destroyed it. Given more time in the pocket uhhh well who knows ..

(wow he's a big boy)
GO STEELERS! :P

Bottom line. Manning sucks in the post season always has and always will. Who cares if they won their division and almost went undefeated he is a choke artist when it matters most. And what is with Ben is just a good quarterback what is his record 27 and 3 as a starter (not quite sure but something like that) How much better does he need to get, other than getting a ring in 2 weeks which will be something Manning WONT EVER GET. That WHINEY BITCH. Yeah he is Americas quarterback if Americans are in love with a Loser, but I doubt it.
GO STEELERS win one more for Jerome.

hard to throw when your running full steam for your life :P
give the guy a break, he did great all season

Actually, Peyton Manning is not one of the GREAT ones, he's one of the VERY GOOD ones. GREAT is reserved for those with Super Bowl rings. Last I checked, Peyton didn't have one.
Dood...

Not only does he call his own plays, he actually calls out the blocking assignments at the line. No other QB does that on a regular basis, many will call out blocking assignments if they recognize a blitz coming.

So that makes Manning's meltdown even worse. When he blamed his offensive line, it showed what a great ass he is, cause he is responsible for the blocking assignments.

Palmer is, IMO, a better QB than Manning. USC in da house, represent!

(FYI: Palmer and Polamalu were alphabetically roommates in college and remain good friends.)

Unfortunate about the injury but I'm not even going there ... 8)

Hmmm

Post by tornandfrayed »

Then I guess Dan Marino cannot be called a great quarterback! How about Fran Tarkenton? Warren Moon, Dan Fauts, Neil ODonnell (oops!). There are a lot of great QB's that never won a superbowl. The problem with being a great QB is that everyone expects you to carry the team on your shoulders. I think that Peyton will get a ring or two. I think that Ben might get a ring this year. I can't get into the whole animosity towards any players, I don't know them, never met them and they certainly haven't done anything to me.

I want to see a good game. I would like to see Peyton get a ring, I would have liked to see Dan Marino get a ring. Sometimes it just does not happen, doesn't mean your not a great QB.

If the steelers lose I would not go so far as to diminish their accomplishments for the season based on that. I thought they did great last year at 15 and 1.

I also think that Matt Hasselback is a good QB who is getting better quickly. Shawn Alexander, MVP of the league. I think that this game is going to rock!

No $hit. This team is starting to win the "NFL Fashion Show" by playing real football.

It's finally becoming OK to hit people in the mouth and get the SI cover for a change.

This is a young, nasty "dynasty-caliber" team, finally with a quarterback. Roethlisberger is very impressive.

ok, we got the Q-back and the team but what do we do for a fullback when the Bus retires.
Leaves a big hole in backfield doesn't it?

Barry Foster, Bam Morris, etc. ... Pittsburgh has never had trouble finding good backs ...

What about Edgerrin James? Free agent ... Release Duce (he's very expensive for someone who wears a sweatsuit to every game), Bus retires with a ring and there's your room under the cap. You know Edge wants to play for a condender and Indy can't afford him.

Hmmm ...
