Whats wrong with KORN?

Post by ChaosRisingRice »

So i found a video of a press conference that korn had whichwas in a grave yard "LAME" So that korn could announce their upcoming north american tour with mudvayne. Anyways when a person asked a question about will there be a second guitar player on stage. Nobody said anything. Their drummer shook his head yes. And John davis had a blank look on his face until Munky said yes their will be i only have to hands. But then JD said that it is difficult to put someone on stage and it will be hard. That is alot of bullshit. First when head left the band they were talking shit about him.

Now i must admit and i don't want to that i used to like them. Until i realized that their music wasn't all that great. Grant it i can listen to them. I like their first album and everything. Their older stuff is pretty cool. But thats what i think. What happened to them?

Also if you were going to join a band. But they said that you aren't allowed on the stage you had to play the parts backstage. Where nobody could see you. Would you do it? Not me. I wouldn't do it.

What about any of you?

Korn is a downward spiraling ship, they are gonna crash real soon. Hedd was a major part of their band, and ever since they lost him, they havent been the same. Listen to some of the shit that they do, their music isnt "Korn" anymore, its hard to describe what the hell they are.

Well, at least they aren't auditioning potential guitar players at music stores across America, and making the players sign contracts stating that whatever is played becomes the property of Korn (as one other popular nu-metal band once did).

Having players off stage is not uncommon at all. A lot of Rock music is smoke and mirrors. You'd be surprised how many times you listen to a recording and it's not even really the people in the band playing the part. A lot of the mid 70s Kiss albums were "ghost" musicians because Peter and Ace were too fucked up on coke to come in and play their parts.

P.s. And yeah, Korn sucks anymore. They lost me after Follow the Leader.

i think Korn just ran out of shit to write and play about after "Make me Bad" - their last 2 or 3 albums have sucked.. they're dead..

Mudvayne however.. very much alive..

I thionk the new album is a different direction for them and I think it is pretty cool. I always sort of thought they were OK and now I like them a little more. I can't judge by their older stuff, I just listen to the album and if I like it, I like it.

Well, it's like BadDazeRob said, it gets kinda mushy sometimes and then there's the "digestive aspect" we all know about... Like a lot of mainstream Bands, they have some tunes I like, some I don't. ...and I can't stand the creamed stuff! :D

I read an article awhile ago when head first left the band and i don't know if this is true or not but another reason that head left the band to dedicate himself to christianity was because he heard his daughter singing ADIDAS whether or not it is true i don't know.

Also i have a DVD of theirs and during the dvd munky makes a statement saying that he thought maybe they could do solos. JD just laughed it off like it was some kind of joke. Personally the look on munky's face said it all. He was serious. I think that JD is holding them back and they are a hell of alot more talented then what they are showing us right now. Still i don't like them but. With out JD who knows what there music would be like. Could be better than again it could be worse too.

Their music is really to basic. I mean i like writing things that are kind of easy. but when you can play one whole song with two chords, with no solos, and you just use one string. come on what are they doing with the other six.

I have a profound dislike for bands that play guitar with only a finger or two.

Although their first album is alright to listen to once a year or so.

Yeah i know what you mean. They have alot of effects in their songs to go over the one single note that they constanlty play for a song.
