60's & 70's Garage Band Website

Post by moxham123 »

Here is a site with garage bands from the 60's & 70's that never became anything other than a local band. Not much has changed for bands. We are all going through the same things bands did 40 years ago. Cool just to check them out.

Yes, that's true, except for one big difference. Local bands today get paid about the same as we did 30 years ago, no adjusting for inflation.

There's money to be made if you understand your market, book the right clubs, have a good product, and be consistent in your business plan. You won't make as much as an investment banker or lawyer, but there are profits to be made.
"He's the electric horseman, you better back off!" - old sKool making a reference to the culturally relevant 1979 film.

Heh, heh, heh...those are the clubs that I am talking about that are paying as much as Forces was making in the late 70s. Most clubs pay less than we were making. State College is the exception. Its a great town to make money playing.
