What is your resolution this year ???

Post by f.sciarrillo »

I am wondering what ya'lls resolution is this year ?? Mine is a continuation of last year.

I had one to quit smoking - I did cold turkey January 7th of last year and haven't had one since. And had one to better advance myself for a better job and career, one that I like instead of one I have to do. I spent most of the year trying to decide on what to do, put the wheels in motion in may, and start school on january 10th to put this one is action.

I am excited for 2006, this is going to be a good year. The steps forward will be steps to look back on and realize how good it was. Things will change and the tunnel vision will go away .. :)

So what is all yours ??

Congrats on your ability to stop smoking!!!! Also, congrats on going back to school. I love college. I can't wait for grad school though, when they'll actually pay me to go to school.....well, actually, I'll be getting paid for the assistanceship, not taking classes. *LOL*

f.sciarillo, CONGRATULATIONS on pursuing your Dreams and on sticking with not smoking! I wish everyone would quit...it's so bad for your health. That and my hair and clothes might not smell so bad! :)

My Resolution is to NOT wreck a vehicle for the third January in a row - I just might accomplish that goal! :D

My resolutions:

1. To be a better person.
2. To be a better and more entertaining drummer.
3. To get my post count over 1000 on Rockpage.
4. To make more money.
5. To be a better dad and husband.
Dood...

A few of my resolutions:

1. Ditch the spare tire (again...).
2. Get back to tapping my artistic/creative side more. Get back to drawing/sketching, also get serious about an instrument again (probably harmonica or guitar).
3. Improve my time management skills, and become more efficient.
4. Convincingly win the war against the rabbits in my garden this year.
5. Continue to improve my writing and on-air skills.
6. Get caught up on my "JP's Corner" recaps (probably by mid-year).

I did successfully stick to one of my resolutions from last year, the one about boycotting a popular national store chain. I did not set foot in any of those stores since I announced the resolution last year!

I already quit smoking in September and the holiday pounds will come off easily enough.

Since the local music business is pretty much a big joke these days, this might seem a little depressing:

I'm just gonna have to break down and deal with these bar managers and book some solo gigs. I often wonder if some of them even have a light on up there. [SMACK] "Pay attention when I'm talking!"

Of course, every year I hope to start a trio with a local drummer and bass player who are willing to set aside one day per week to practice. Every year I have been disappointed for one reason or another, so I may as well keep that on the table to see what new excuses it may bring in the new year.

On a brighter note, I resolve to take a half $million$ in stock profits this year.
