If you are a male and make money, just bend over now and ask for some K-Y jelly from the court.
ucjoe, you are WRONG! My
ex-husband makes damn good money, is an only child and his widowed mother is a Millionaire. His lifestyle and manner of living didn't go down, they went up. In the years since it was final, he has a nice car and a Harley that's only a year or two old. Me and his children? Bwahahahaha! He refuses to contribute any extra over and above their Child Support for extra expenses over "normal" things, so you know who pays for National Honor Society Trips and who paid for Senior Pictures, etc., don't you? "That's what the Child Support is for" and "I don't feel guilty", is the "wonderful" MAN's response. So, guess what our standard of living is like?
Still, I'd rather be content and have even only a LITTLE Peace of mind than be TOTALLY miserable for the rest of my life with a man like him. He dragged the Divorce on for 3.5 years, because he ENJOYED doing so and also because he could AFFORD to do so! I didn't want the house, after 16 years, all I wanted was $10,000, basically what my grandfather had once left to me in an inheritance. "We'd" spent it partly on a 2 year old Ford Ranger (For him, of course.) and a Boat. (I like to Fish and the few times we used it, I did enjoy it.
It was sold a year or 2 later when he got the new Bayliner.) I didn't give a flying FUCK about either the house or his retirement. Not all women are money hungry cunts. (Yes, I said "that" word, as it doesn't bother me in the least! It's what I have, not what "I" am.) Believe it or not, some women just want OUT of a bad marriage, money isn't the most important thing in the world to them, EVER. Happy frickin' New Year, Joe!

I should think the longest sentence for ANY man would be: "Will you marry me?"

YR, when you say "money isn't the most important thing in the world to them, EVER. ", that would be more believable, except for your first paragraph. It was all about money.
In Blair Co., women get the benefit of the doubt at the courts all the time.
Many men have to go to court just to get visitation rights. That should never be argued, kids need both of their parents.
No fault divorce that Pa. now has, has been very harmful to families IMO. and financially studies have shown women do make out better after divorce.

This was all in Schuylkill County and I don't CARE about WHAT the "studies" say, in this case they ae WRONG!
That's right, my first paragraph was about money and only served to illustrate my point...if I gave a flying fuck about money, don't you think I'd still be with him, no matter what he was like, or that I would have fought tooth and nail for all KINDS of remuneration? You are just plain WRONG, Joe, accept and deal with it. No man should ever have to fight to see his children and I whole heartedly agree that children need BOTH parents, hell, I know some men who are a better choice for custodial parent than the children's Mother,
but I actually had to embarrass this "Father" in front of our Attornies at a Support Hearing into seeing "his" children, for at that point he hadn't seen them in THREE months! Yes, a MAN who cares more about money than his children.
That's the only reason he ever eventually tried for Custody of them, so he didn't have to pay support. I fear if he marries his girlfriend, he'll take my youngest child from me, who he hardly ever sees now, only to "save money", not because he really cares about him. NICE "man"!

OK
I have been married for 17 years. I love my wife. We have grown together and our relationship has grown stronger. We have three beautiful children that I love completly and unconditionally. I would never trade this for all the money in the world.
Relationships are hard work. You have to work to make it. It seems that generally men are pigs and are driven by their dicks. There are also alot of women who tend to be somewhat promiscuous. I think that a lot of relationships fail because people are driven to believe that life is about "ME". Our society magnifies vanity and greed and people buy into it whole heartedly.
I feel bad for people who have had bad experiences and feel that everyone is trying to take advantage of them. I feel worse for people who have given up on the concept of love all together.

Femine
I have been accused of many things, but being gay has never been one of them. I guess I am not afraid of knowing how I feel and why I feel that way.
You could say that I am in touch with my femine side.
Neither am I afraid of telling people where I stand on subjects.
I believe that part of the problem America has is the decay of the Family as the pivotal point in our culture. I think that the ease of divorce and failing belief in the sanctimony of marriage contribute to that.
I have always put my family's and my friends needs above my own because at the end of the day that is what my life is. We will all need to stand up and believe in something sooner or later, I just choose to do it now.
Peace.

Could be where your picking up these women from too there Joe. Since you're a musician I'm gonna guess you meet alot of these girls at various shows you've played. Now I'm gonna tell ya a little secret...
98% of the single girls who go out to see a band and have interest in dating an active musician are only in it for themselves. All they care about is that free ride to the top and the fame they will garner by being married to a famous musician. And guess what.... if a more lucrative product comes along, with better chances of making it big, your ass will be left in the gutter. I've seen this on the local and the national level. Where the so called girlfriend's only concern is how "famous" the musician can make them.
That leaves the other 2% (which I am very happy to be a part of). Those of us who are there because we truely love the music and those who make it. The ones who appreciate who the man is on the stage as well as off. (I have no desire for Joe Rockstar. I would much rather truely know the person behind the persona) For us who feel that way it's not about getting famous. It's not about how much money ya make. It's about a love for music and truely appreciating someone for who they are as a whole, not just who they portray on the stage.
Harsh? oh yea. Sadly it's how it is.

I am glad that this thread was meant purely as a joke...
btw, I am married (pretty happily) and I agree w/ what was said by Torn and Frayed but, I thought I would post is because it was a funny joke, not to start an argument over who has been screwed more by getting divorced.

no offense bitchen but that is a most ridiculous statement.Every guy has an ideal of what type of woman they want. (height, weight, hair color, eye color, background, etc) Sometimes those particular kind of ideals, come with some not so favorable traits.
and you are WAY off hereCould be where your picking up these women from too there Joe. Since you're a musician I'm gonna guess you meet alot of these girls at various shows you've played.
