BACKYARD ROCKER 9/28/03

Post by Jim Price »

Hello Everyone,

Here is the recap of the September 28 edition of Q94's weekly local music program, "The Backyard Rocker," which airs every Sunday night from 8 to 10 PM on WBRX 94.3 and WBXQ 94.7.

Thanks to our guests, No Dice, for appearing on this week's program. We heard tracks that will be on their forthcoming new CD, “Once, In a World...,” and discussed the band, their music, and just-completed video for the song “35 Minutes.” Along the way, we also debuted new songs from Green Eggs, Beanzie and the Boppers, and The Podunx.

This week's playlist:

HOUR ONE:

GREEN EGGS - “Hard Enough”
JUICED - “Seven”
NO DICE - “I'm Sorry But I Can't”
BACKSTREET LAW - “Intro/Shake”
NO DICE - “Lonely Dream”
VERTIGO - “Doormat”
NO DICE - “35 Minutes”
PACO'S VIRUS - “”World Politics of a Fountain Pen”
BEANZIE AND THE BOPPERS - “Bluejean Bop”
E.S. WHITEFISCH - “I Know”

HOUR TWO:

EMILY'S TOYBOX - “Frozen”
NO DICE - “Special”
NO REFILL - “Gain the Entire World”
NO DICE - “Delorean”
THE PODUNX - “High School Crush”
DESTROY ELROY - “The Song That Never Was”
CHAPTER 5 - “Normal Life”
NO DICE - “Do About It”

On Sunday night, October 5, we will be joined in the studio by No Refill. We'll get acquainted with this Harrisburg-based group and their unique style and sound, and hear some new music from the group. The group will also likely perform some songs live for us, too. No Refill visits the "Backyard Rocker," this Sunday night!
