Anyway, I've had a week to get acclimated with my new camera, and it served me very well. A few photos of the fun and debauchery from New Year's Eve, taken with the new camera...

Hair Force One, rocking a packed dance floor at City Limits.

Done sidestepping around, Jimi Hatt is back in action with Hair Force One.

Victor Synn and Hair Force One keep 'em dancing into the New Year.

Haywood Jablome helps sing with Iva Biggin and Hair Force One

Hugh G. Rection breaks out the big sticks.

Yours truly, celebrating with a cast of crazies. Thanks to Bud from The Underground TV for taking this shot.

Robthedrummer was in the house and obviously having a good time.

During the last set, an episode of Hair Force One Twister broke out on the dance floor.

Several drinks and pitchers of brew later, Robthedrummer and the gang are still having a good time.
My "old" Sony Cyber-shot camera (the one I relied on after my Mavica got stolen) didn't sit idle on New Year's Eve either. While I took photos with the new camera, the Cyber-shot served its first duty as a digital video camera. Below are two vids I shot at City Limits. The first, though a bit dark, is Hair Force One counting down to midnight and the New Year:

The second vid shows Hair Force One performing "Sweet Child O'Mine." A few disclaimers, though. First, this vid was obviously shot in front of the speakers, so sound quality is distorted; you should still be able to hear what is going on. Second, this vid was obviously shot under the influence of mass quantities of Yeungling, by an aspiring digital videographer who is still accustomed to taking still photos with this same camera. I realized about midway through the song that for shooting video, I can't turn the camera to get vertical shots like I do when taking pictures. So for viewing most of the footage of Mr. Hatt's solo, you will either have to tilt your head sideways, or lay down on the floor. (I'll get better at this with more experience and less New Year's Yeungling cheer, lol!) And my favorite part of this video is the lady on the left in front of the stage trying to get my attention, and then pointing to Guv'nor Jesse, who promptly flips me the bird. Bastard!

Once again, thanks for the new Konica-Minolta camera, and look for better photos, and now the dawning of the digital video age on Rockpage!
