The Grimm @ Peter C's

Post by ToonaRockGuy »

It was indeed a capital time! Flame Sky was awesome as the opening band, and the Grimm absolutely ROCKED! AND THEY HAD STAGE PRESENTS! I got a Christmas ornament from Satan Claus! I'm still pissed that Jim Price got Canned Squishy Meat. Bastard.

Good to see the rockpagers in the house, including bassist_25, DMFJ, Esa, undercoverjoe, Jim Price (with video camera), QuailWhale, Yankee Rose, Daxman, and of course, all the Grimm Boys!

Thanks, John & Jodie, for all the memories. I don't think you know how much Peter C's will be missed. God Bless.

Word of advice for everyone: If Otto comes to your house, don't let him sit on your lawn furniture.

What a great send off to a bar that was live music. Metallica, Randy Rhoads, and Iron Maiden were channeled there last night and some interesting originals from both Flame Sky and the Grimm were the perfect ending.

A local club being closed out by local bands playing thier original music.

The music will continue with bands like these, we just have to find more venues to keep hearing their excellence.

No, Big Jim wasn't in attendance. He was probably still recovering from last Saturday's Half Tempted jam night at City Limits.

Image

Short, squat, camera-toting Jim was in attendance.

Image

Big JOHN was in attendance. As was Jodie K and Bandit the Peter C's C.E.O.

Image

Re-Pete was in attendance.

Image

Satan Claus was in attendance, with his Big Bad Bag O'Stuff.

Image

The Flame Sky was in attendance.

Image

As were some of their fans...

Image

Esa was in attendance.

Image

Deathmaster Funk Jae was also in attendance.

Image

In fact, a good-sized crowd was in attendance.

Image

Of course, The Grimm was in attendance.

Image
Image
Image
Image

Some former Grimmsters were in attendance as well.

Image
Image

Some Grimmettes were in attendance.

Image

There was lots of interesting action in the front of the room...

Image

And there was some interesting action in the back of the room as well...

Image
(...so if Esa acts like she has a stick up her butt in the next week or so, there may be a reason for it...LOL!)

I digress...To answer your original questions, no, Big Jim was not at this show, and to the best of my knowledge, he is doing okay. But Big John was at the show, and he is doing okay.

OK, Bassist 25, curiosity has got me now. Fess up or does this need to be told in private to protect the innocent.

Thanks again to all who attended the final final show at Peter C's. Seeing good friends and sharing the stage with great musicians (Flame Sky) keeps us Grimm boys pushing it. Thanks.

OK, now who can find us another local gig in Altoona?

Thanks to all of you who showed up to pay your respects to one of best underground clubs to ever call Altoona home...if I haven't said it enough, The Grimm would never have gotten off the ground without Big John, and he has NEVER quit supporting us!

Shouts out to:

Flame Sky....as Dom said...YOU guys push us!

Grimm Alums: Otto and Ron, it was a pleasure to get to share the stage with you again....and Bob...hell, we've been together longer than most married couples I know...for Xmas I'll let YOU be the boy for a change!

Grimm Class of 2004/2005 (Dom/Scott): This monster feels like a real band...I'm proud to be writing the newest chapter of the band with you both.

Merry Christmas to you all...hopefully, we'll find someplace local to play in 06!
