I just shipped the guitar that I built for Kahler that will be in their booth at the NAMM show in January. I hooked up with Kahler about 6 months ago as a dealer and they approached me about building them a guitar for this winters NAMM show for their booth to show off the new Kahler bridges. Check it out.
I used a custom built San Dimas style single hum Alder body witha nice shark fin inlayed maple neck with a rosewood fretboard. I used all top of the line hardware with an EMG 81 pickup, and a new Kahler bridge. This guitar just smokes. I decided to paint it with my own bengal degign that is limited to 10 as i figured the NAMM show would be full of has been hair band shredders, and this guitar screames 80's metal. i will post some pics of famous and semi famous players with it from the NAMM show once I get them back. If anyone is going to the show let me know, or let me know what you think of the guitar.

Thanks man. Yeah I think Lynch would like it as well. I must have painted over 150 lynch bengals in all 3 color schemes and to me they look a little to cartoon looking where this version of mine more resembles actual tiger stripes (I used a tiger skin rug I have here at home to come up with the actual pattern and color for this one).

That's incredible Kahler came to you to build them a guitar for NAMM!!! I would kill a hobo if I could go to a NAMM show! I'll buy one of those upright bass hard cases and hide in that until I'm in the show! If not, can I at least get a deal on a bass trem? What about bridge parts? Wow!
Wow, your stuff always looks terrific. Do you also build women by any chance?
Is this a Kahler revival, or have they been around all these years with a low profile? Seems like they were common in the 80s, then dropped off the face of the Earth. Or off the body of the guitar, as the case may be. How does a Kahler compare with a good Floyd for tuning stability, tone, ease of setup, etc.?
Thanks guys, i hated to send this one away as that guitar just pounded but hell i will do one for myself when ever I have a chance to work on my own stuff which doesnt happen a whole lot any more with the amount of customer work I have in the shop. But thats a good thing. Yeah Kahler dropped off the face of the earth but has now come back with a vengance. I personally like them better than a floyd rose for the fact they are a non floating trem which means you can rest your hand on the body of the trem and it wont pull sharp or out of tune, but you can still pull sharp on the bar if thats what you are looking for. I put this one through the grinder one night to see how it hold up and could find nothing bad to say about it and couldnt knock the bitch out of tune. And they are so easy to set up and tune. They offer a full line of replacement bridges and parts. they also have rebuild kits for the old 80's trems, and all are built with top of the line metals not cheap pot metal like some of the bridges with solid post inserts. And the most important thing is that they are made here in the good old USA. Fuck Germany the only 2 memorable things they have brought to the world is the Floyd Rose trem and Hitler!! Oh wait 3 things warm beer.
If anyone needs any Kahler stuff let me know and i will hook you up. Just go to my website to the links page and click the Kahler link and everything is there.

+1 on the Kahler bridges. IMO they are far superior than FR trems. I can't vouch a whole lot for the guitar trems, but the bass bridges are amazing. The hardtail bridge is the best fully adjustable bridge you can buy. And the bass trems are crazy fun. Just like with the Kahler guitar trems, you can divebomd and whammy the heck out of 'em and they'll hold tune fairly well. On top of that, they're twice as easy to install as FR and Strat-type trems.
WOW, what a beautiful work of Art and Craftsmanship! I don't know if the Bengal Tiger is still on the Endangered list, but I immediately thought of Bengal Tigers...the shading and stripes...fantastic paint job!
Thanks everyone for showing some interest and support. I think that this guitar going to the NAMM show will definetly give my business a big kick in the ass in the right direction. I have been doing this full time for the last 3 years and have painted or built guitars for guys all over the country and the world as I have guitars in France, England, Spain, Austrailia, Canada, Japan, Ireland, Mexico, Italy, Germany plus another 300 or so scattered across the country as most of my customers are collectors of 80's shredder guitars and one of a kind guitars. I am almost getting to the point where I need to add some help but I like the money to much to do it at this point. The only thing that is a little strange is that none of my work comes locally? I have done 6 for a guy that lives near pittsburgh and have done a bunch for John Solinsky who helps me out with my website and that is it for the whole entire state. Which is a little strange with the amount of players in this state and area. But hell I don't care where the work comes from as long as it stops me from having to work for the man I am a happy guy. I have also done work for Jerome Bettis (which you guys saw the pics of that), Dan Marino (which I believe is hanging in one of his restaraunts), Darius Rucker (burger king commercial and hootie and the blow fish) and am doing one for Fran Cosm who is singing for Boston now and also played with the band Orion the Hunter back in the 80's (He also played my wedding as I have been friends with him for years).
So if anyone needs anything just let me know. Along with Kahler I am an Allparts dealer which carries a full line of quality replacement parts from necks, tuners, bridges, electronics to everything else you would need for your guitar or bass.
Also be on the look out for some pics of George lynch with one of mine as a customer in California that I have done 8 or 9 for knows him and is going to take a couple to his show next week out there. So I will post those pics as soon as I get them.

Hey Paul, I just checked in on your web page, and you're the same size as "The Bus"! (I'm kind'a glad I know ya). Not everyone can make Jerome Bettis smile.
