ZEP RULZ!!!

Post by BDR »

Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page, 61, holds his Officer of the Order of the British Empire, or OBE after it was presented to him by Britain's Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace, Wednesday Dec. 14, 2005 but the award was for his work with poor Brazilian children rather than his music. The rocker said he was overwhelmed to be given the accolade for helping street children in Brazil. (AP Photo/Fiona Hanson/PA)

Sorry ... couldn't resist ...

That's cool! He doesn't look so old in that pic as he does in some of the other pics I've seen over the last couple of years. Page kicks ass! 8)

I wish they'd get Bonham's kid Jason, and do one last world tour. I never got to see them live. I'd pay whatever it takes to get THAT ticket.

Let's see...I have "The Song Remains the Same" that I recorded from AMC several years back, before they started doing commercials...
I also have quite a few CDs...alas, no DVDs of them, or Vinyl. I do have a record player...it's part of my system and it's new, never been used...I have Albums SOMEWHERE, if I could only FIND them! :) However, I did happen to see Page LIVE, playing in all of his glory and 'twas great, awesome even!

Lord knows I just hate to "feed" the Troll, but I can't help but ask, just what the hell are you talking about? Did I see and hear Page play live and in person? YES. Jimmy Page and The Black Crowes, June, 2000. Page ROCKED and Robinson didn't do bad vocals at all on all the Zep tunes they did...and they did many, more Zep than Crowes' material.

There seems to be some animosity between Page/Plant and JPJ due to Page/Plant going out and touring with Zepplin material that Jones had a large part in writing and arranging. Jones definatley is one of the most underrated guys in Rock.
