Price of postage on the rise...AGAIN.

Post by JayBird »

It looks like the price per stamp will be on the rise by $.02 starting January 1...$0.39 If you have press packets to mail get them out before January 1, 2006!

Just think how much it would cost ya if you drove the envelope to wherever it went yourself. 39 cents is ALOT cheaper!!

It would still be cheaper than driving every envelope to where it had to go.If ya mailed something to California, 80 cents is a helluva lot less expensive than driving it there in your car,you do the math.

2500 miles to cali. 25mpg = 100 gals gas. 200 gals (gotta come back ya know:) X 2.50 gal = 500

so according to YOUR logic anything under $500 a stamp is ok with you

For .39 I can get a letter across the country in just a few days. I think that's a pretty good deal. Can you imagine all the handling that is involved in the whole process?

I think they should just raise it to .40.

They always get me cause I'm 2 lazy to get the stamps that would make it acceptable, in this case a .02 cent stamp. And just use two of them till its time to go buy the new ones!

You mean there are actually people that still use the mail?

For as much as I use the mail, the 2 cents won't kill me. Everyone is doing things electronically more and more. I'm surprised the price of postage hasn't gone up more.

Good thing I stopped paying bills this month. The electric company doesn't really need my money. GET A JOB!
