Gorillas are herbivores. Chimpanzees are omnivores.
And NS, as far as where I learned all that stuff, it was in recent college nutrition classes. Go on up to PSU and argue with the Health department about it.

...Oh, the freedom of the day that yielded to no rule or time...
NSswipe is so delusional!! Every post goes against her (it) and it thinks it is winning. This is funnier than the Chapelle show.
Did anyone notice the only support NSswipe ever got was from a DJ? I guess it is proud to have support from a DJ on a chat site full of musicians and people who love and support live music.

plants are a complete protein. so are animals. but big diff is that plants don't contain bad fats or cholestrol. animals are loaded with the stuff. also too much iron! clogs your heart, some sooner than others but it will get you in the end!
throw away your meat, burgers, hotdogs (really really bad stuff), steaks.. throw them in garbage and eat fish instead. but not to much mostly due to mercry contnimation. stay away from white tuna!
salads and fish and raw fruits, it does a body good

I will take Lonewolfe's (and PSU health department) information about the protiens in plant
The information I tell you is just completly ignored.
There are more practicing vegetarians in India than any country. I told you that Indians do have a surprisingly large degree of cardiovascular disease. you have no answer to this and just ignore it.
You have NO CREDIBILITY

sure hydrogenated junk has bad fat too. 'HDL'.. thats 'good' cholestrol in the BLOOD, not in the food. called 'good' because it helps get rid of the bad cholestrol, but guess what you eat right low fat diet and the 'good' becomes less important.songsmith wrote:I thought the worst offender for cholesterol in the US diet was hydrogenated VEGETABLE oil and coconut oil? There must be some HDL in there somewhere.
BTW, I like a good salad, too. And taters. And beans. Both types.---->JMS
salad, taters (sweet better, no fries) and beans, good! but don't kid yourself doesn't undo damage from meat

eat COLOR! eat RAW! eat HARTY!
YOU have none! What does loewolf have to do with PSU? How do you make this conection?undercoverjoe wrote:I will take Lonewolfe's (and PSU health department) information about the protiens in plant

Plants are complete protein. No need for specual combining or concern just eat a lot and eat a variety. eat variaty for special chemicals in each plant which we haven't even talked avbout yet. even more important. plants have all aa's in each one, complete. less iron too which is better for your heart (other things too). fiber in plants, IMPORTANT! none in anima;s. plants can lower cholestrol animals only RAISE IT!! plants can reverse heart didease too!
indians? i have only your word on this but i don't believe you.

In our studies we found that even severe heart disease often begins to reverse when people followed the lifestyle and diet recommendations in our program. In fact, 99% of the patients were able to stop or reverse the progression of heart disease by making the diet and lifestyle changes I recommend.

NSswipe, when you say "In our studies...", that means you do studies you freaking shit head. I now have it figured out. When you eat your veggies, the shit flow up to you head cause nothing else is there.

HUH? The only way any Vegetable matter, including Oils, have anything to do with Cholesterol, is if they cause our Liver to make it in excess. No Vegetable matter of any kind contains any Cholesterol.
Only Animal by-products do.
BadDazeRob, why you would again bring up Steve Courson is beyond me. I reiterate, I never read your words of condolence or sympathy. Having found humor in the "circumstances" of the death (The way it happened.) of someone that most of us didn't know on a personal basis - NEVER humor in the death, mind you - and throwing a figurative wrench into extending Positive Healing Energy, Positive Reinforcement, Good Vibes, Prayers, whatever you want to call it, to a fellow RockPager...I don't see how anyone could possibly reconcile that they are one and the same.
There aren't many who can truly empathize the pain of losing a friend or relative as I can...if you really knew me, you'd understand. I apologize that I offended your most delicate sensibilities,

It's irreverent to offer health advice on a "best wishes" thread (not defending NS here, BTW, just illustrating a point) but it's OK to make fun of the way someone died just because you don't know him personally. Just pointing out hypocrisy when I see it.YankeeRose wrote:BadDazeRob, why you would again bring up Steve Courson is beyond me. I reiterate, I never read your words of condolence or sympathy. Yes, you are the only person on this board who has experienced "the pain of losing a friend or relative." You're being way too melodramatic.YankeeRose wrote:There aren't many who can truly empathize the pain of losing a friend or relative as I can...if you really knew me, you'd understand. That's what she said.
Dude, my wife takes that stuff, mixes it with egg noodles, cream of mushroom soup, some VEGGIES (you must have variety ... LOL) and BAM, a quick, kick-ass meal. Pour over mashed potatoes, rice or eat alone, it's a meal of which I usually down about 4-5 plates in a sitting.songsmith wrote:BD Rob: Canned is my favorite venison, too. It gets the tallow to rise to the top, where it can be skimmed off, cutting down on that pasty taste that turns a lot of people off. Saute in olive oil, adding the sliced onion and green peppers later so that the onions just barely have time to caramelize and still have a little crunch, slap a big pile of that on a seeded bun or potatoe roll... oh, man, I just drooled.------->JMS
Seriously, dude, if you want some speed beef, drop me a PM or an e-mail.

HDL is the bad cholesterol. I stand corrected, NS!
You have a PM, Bad Daze Rob. I stand next to the dinner table!------->JMS
HDL is the 'good' cholestrol !! good cause helps remove bad cholestrol.. LDL. HDL is less 'good' (impotant) if your total cholestrul is low already.
see how little you know?

animals raise your bad cholestrol !!! that's why people need pils!!
Scary? Why scary? I've been a musician for more than 2 decades, and she still couldn't play a G Chord to save her life.
Of course, neither can you. Yet you still go off spouting on here like you know what you're talking about, despite how little you know.
I am comfortable enough with myself to admit when I'm wrong... I just did in my previous post, but you're more interested in pointing out that you're right. Whoop-de-mother-f**king-doo. nosurrender bought a vowel, and now has a clue about something. Suddenly she's more knowledgeable about a subject than folks with college degrees and decades of experience. I made a typo, confusing HDL and LDL. Again, I was WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. Please e-mail all taunting I-told-you-so's to johnny@goeffyerself.net, 'cause I've apologized enough.
There I admit I'm not an expert on something.
NOW IT'S YOUR TURN. Admit you don't know dick about playing music. Be a man.--------------->JMS

Look this is basic stuf that you need to know. That wasn't a typo. You can't know WHAT to eat if you don't know any of it. And if your wife knows this she ain't using it or it would have come up at some time, meaning you'd know it! that's why i wasn't sure she was really a nurse or not. just my thots.songsmith wrote:Scary? Yes, basic health knowlege IS a big whoop-dee-do. How can you know what to do if you don't know what is what??
Ps i never asked for an apology, so none needed. i haven't seen any posts by ph'ds yet. Point them out i'll go back a re-read them.
You made some claims here about meat and food etc blah blah .. but you really should re-read what I have posted. and go to my linkages! READ! LEARN! then tell your wife!
