Right now, I've really been getting into the Marvelous 3's Hey! Album. I know it's been out for a few years, but the hooks are out of this world. Plus, it has some of the best production that I've heard in a very long time.
My "Song of the Moment" would be Latley by Blake Morgan.
Lately, Lately
With all I've been takin'
I don't think
I don't think
I don't think I'm crazy
Every aspect of my life is crazy right now, so that song speaks to me. Well everything except music; that's the most sane thing I have going on right now. *LOL*
"He's the electric horseman, you better back off!" - old sKool making a reference to the culturally relevant 1979 film.
Somewhat along that line, here's ONE of some of my current favs, which I got hooked on again after talking to Rick Ramsey and telling him about this tune the other evening:
"Hatesong" - Porcupine Tree
(Other favs by them right now are:
"Lazarus" and "The Rest Will Flow", go figure! )

You aren't the only one who identifies with those lyrics.
Ah yes, bassist_25, "Music"...the signature someone has comes to mind..."all of Heaven we have below"...just imagine...if it didn't exist, without it our lives would be empty, indeed!

If you need any further proof that there is no justice in the world, how is it that Butch Walker is stuck as an opening act for Avril Lavigne these days instead of being made Emperor of the Universe like he truly deserves? Some things just don't make sense.
My current "song that is totally stuck in my head" is Alive and Amplified by The Mooney Suzuki. I downloaded it on a whim after liking it in the Grand Vitara commercials, and can't escape it now. That song makes me want to put on a goofy vinyl spacesuit and have kung fu fights with alien invaders, until the lead alien transforms into a giant monster and destroys a city, at which point I climb into my giant robot and kick his ass all the way back to whatever scumpit galaxy he came from. That's generally the sign of a good song.
The new song from Cross Fade is stuck in my head. Think it's called "Shine". Hear it on the radio all the time but they never say the name of it. Help me out Kevin.
Hendrix - "Angel" Acoustic version just him singing with an acoustic guitar.
Yea thats nice, I have that. Where did it come from? My boyfriend had burnt that for me. Spellbound, I agree about the Black-Eyed Beans or whatever, I don't get it. They suck. Its crap like that that made me give up radio, but you know how you always have that one friend that makes you listen to it because they think "you'll like it". Yea, maybe in HELL.
Spellbound, where were ya last Thursday...did I miss you in the throng of people?
If music be the food of love, then play on...
William Shakespeare

The actual name of the Crossfade tune is "Colors".
ZXWife, Spellbound (BTW, I love the new Avatar!) wasn't there last week, that I could see...although there were quite a few people I recall seeing only once and then "poof", that was it...like Beth Ann...I said hello and that was the last I'd seen of her. With the Black Eyed Peas, I saw it said in another Thread, "to each their own"...I don't like the new tune of theirs I've heard AT ALL :cringe:, but on their first CD, yeah, I admit there are several tunes I like, including the remake of "Where Is The Love".
I've again forced myself to put away the PT, today it's:
"Too Rolling Stoned" - Robin Trower
"...takers get the honey and the givers sing the blues." - truer words were never sung.
The song "Oneness" by Devadip Carlos Santana, on the ablum "Oneness", recorded in 1979. It is from Carlos' jazz fusion era. If you could not expain fusion to someone, just tell thenm to listen to this song. Words do not do justice.

Thanks Kevin, I love that song. Gotta get the CD. Must have the CD.
The song in my head at the moment goes back 21 years: The 8-minute live version of Gary Moore doing "Shapes Of Things," from the double-album set We Want Moore. I've always been a big Gary Moore fan, he's one of the most underrated guitar players in rock history.
I'm playing that song this Sunday night on "Closet Chronicles."

Jim, I agree, Gary Moore is a great guitarplayer. I have a dvd of him and he just plays the snot out of every song. He has one of the best guitar tones ever.
