Steeler fans don't panic, not yet anyway

Post by FatVin »

Okay the loss last night sucked but Let's face it, the Colts have been on fire all year so get over it.

Next week and the Week after are VERY Key games in this season.

The Steelers MUST WIN next week to have a chance at winning the division. Given the remaining schedules of the two teams it is likley that a Steeler loss next week would leave them down and out. The Bengals have a pretty weak schedule and should run the table against everybody after Next Sunday. The Steelers still have to play the VERY tough Chicago Bears (Look at the records, the Bears have been tough this year)

After that the Steelers have only Cleveland and a few also ran teams in the NFC North (hardly the cream of the NFL)

A Steeler loss next week would leave them only a wild card shot at the playoffs

A Steeler win next week and a loss against the Bears could lead to a situation where they need KC to Beat the Bengals on the last game of the season to win the division but they will still have a shot at the playoffs

If the Steelers lose to both Cincy and The Bears, they'll be lucky to slide in on a wild card.

If the Steelers can run the table they can still grab the #3 scede in the playoffs (behind Indy obviuosly and Denver, who is quielty tied with Seatlle for the 2nd best record in the NFL and has a mediocre remaining schedule)

For you NFC fans, Next weeks Dallas V NYG game will be a clash of the titans (not those titans) and will do much to clarify the NFC Playoff picture.

But I believe that they will wear each other out , the same thing will happen in the south between Altanta and Carolina.

Look for the Bears and the Seahawks to continue to do damage in the NFC, between these two teams, I gotta go with the Seahawks, Mike Holmgren has the experience to sheppard these young un's to the promised land

I am VERY dissapointed in way they played last two games. VERY.
Ravens SHOULD have been toast. They handed the win to the Colts on a silver platter.

FatVin, I hope you are right....I'm losing faith. I couldn't even watch the game last night, I was so worried. :(

Here's to better weeks ahead, boyz.
