Metal kills again

Post by ChaosRisingRice »

Some people take there styles of music way to far. Once again music is being blamed for people stupidity. Whether its black metal or any kind of music. Look for yourself this is ridiculous.

It is a shame that the minds of some people are really weak and believe in that sort of thing

Yeah blame it on the music, not the asshole that was supplying the kid with the booze! It amazes me, the stupidity of some people. If your not listening to the Billy Graham Revival Hour you are a follower of Satan. Crock of Shit!!!!

its very easy to try to use metal as a scapegoat......its just fucking stupid. people really think that music can make you kill. what a bunch of jackasses. i listen to heavy , dark shit.....and its just MUSIC. i will never base my lifestyle or actions on music. too many weak people that dont want to take responsibility for what they did. they should fry the killers while the officers play tunes by Barry Manilow. Fitting punishment if you ask me. "Barry made me pull the switch"

On the other hand.... if youre gonna kill, you might as well do it to good music!

Total bullshit for sure and it's also a shame! Notice how Manson's name is one of the first bands mentioned. It sickens me every time I hear someone blame music for such evil acts as murder, rape, or suicide. I feel that the parents should take some of the blame in such cases as this one. You can't expect the t.v. or videio games raise your kids and think they'll be o.k. later in life. I'm sure there are always warning signs when a teenager is have'n problems ,it's just wether or not we choose to notice them. I feel bad for that girl and her family and I hope that they find they real reason why this happened. Whomever purchased the booze should also be held accountable along with the parents of the boys who commited the crime.

This is such a sad thing and might have been avoided with a little parental guideness and by understanding the warning signs of depression, suicide, and other related teen problems. I had alot of personal demons as a teen but, I always worked through them and I made myself a promise back then that I would always be a involved in my children's lives and look at things from their perspective as much as possible. We have all been there and I know that a little understanding as well as putting your foot down when it need be works very well. Maybe the parents are'nt to blame at all, but it's just my take on this sad subject.

Music has a very powerfull influance on most people who are into it alot ,so could it make someone kill, maybe, but I doubt it. I've torn up some cars and such in my day and I sure wouldn't blame it on whatever I was listen'n to at the time, although Zombie,GnR,AC/DC ect. does make me wanna drive like Dale Earnhart sometimes. I think groups today ought to take a big look at the overall message they're sending to the kids who buy their material. If you wanna make music about murder, suicide and such FINE but, don't glammerize it in such a way that 'll make our youth feel like that's the way things are done! Not one band ever is going to say "yeah our music made you kill someone, so we'll go to jail for ya and you can go free cause you didn't know any better!" Like I said though ,it's just my take on things!

This guy was not a kid, he is 28 years old, his accomplice was 21 but maybe he listened to Matchbox 20.

The fact is that alcohol allows people to act in ways that they normally would not. The fact that you drink regulary to feel some way other then the way you feel when you are sober is a sign that there is something wrong with your life. There is usually a reason why people like to drink to "get away" from their soberness.

In otherwords the alcohol is a symptom of the sickness. If you are a healthy functioning human being then why would you want to obcessively blind your senses and numb your feelings? People drink to feel better and to help them forget the things that make them worry or feel uncomfortable.

Reasons can be deep rooted, I am not A DJ so I will not pretend to know the answers. (DJ Joke, see thread "DJING")

Most people use alcohol and pot in a resonsible manner. But there will always be a percentage of people who will abuse chemicals for one reason or another.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I think it's a defense lawyer who knows he doesn't have a ghost of a chance of winning the case, but wants to plead not guilty because it gets a bigger fee. Guilty pleas don't require much in billable time. Reminds me of a local shyster.-------->JMS

Sorry tornandfrayed! I must have miss read that they were that old.

I agree that the booze, more than likely played a major role in what happened!

OK, so first they are gonna blame music. Then you guys are blaming alcohol. Why not blame the fuckin idiots that killed the kid. They chose to do what they did, I don't care how drunk you are...you are the one that put yourself in that situation in the first place. Lots of people drink responsibly all the time. This guy was probably just a bad person.

Exactly blame the persons that were drinking and not the alcohol. I mean it is easy to find a scapegoat in the booze or music. But if someone was going to kill somebody chances are they were going to do it even if they were't drinking. It was the people that killed the kid nothing else. I have been drunk many of times and nothing like that has crossed my mind. To tell you the truth they were probably thinking about doing that before. And with the drinking they said to hell with it lets do it.
