The Steelers Sucked, The officials sucked, the game sucked. I can't believe they got beat by a 2 - 7 team. It is just plain pitiful ..

When Maddox throws the football, bad things happen. When he's the only QB left, they should never allow him to throw the football...ever.

I think it was more the O. line's fault than it was Maddox. The defense was all over Maddox. He def. played better than the Jaguar game, but still didn't play good enough. At least the Bengals lost too.

The O line was terrible. Should have put in Randle El and ran the option all day long. Still might of lost, but would have been a more interesting game.

Randal El would have destroyed in the game. The guy was a leading QB in college and he has the knowledge of a wide reciever, with those two factors, he would have been hooking up with Ward pretty well all day. Maddox has been outta the game for so long that i dont think he really has the creativity that it takes to be a phenominal QB. From the minute i heard that Maddox was starting, i knew that the Steelers didnt have much of a chance. You cant run the ball all day and expect to get points on the board, and in the words of lonewolf, bad things do happen when Maddox throws the ball. I think hes color blind or something.

I agree that the Ravens' loss was more on the offensive line than Maddox. Baltimore stuck 8 guys up on the line and challenged the Steelers to try to pass on them, and the Black and Gold didn't have an effective answer for it. Maddox doesn't have the mobility thing going any more, so he was a sitting duck for sacks. At least he didn't turn the ball over. Perhaps Randle El would have been more mobile, but I suspect he would have been a bigger threat to turn the ball over as well.

Bottom line for me: The Steelers (particularly the offensive line) need to show up to win every week, and be able to win when key players are sidelined. I'm starting to sense that they're playing up and down to the level of their opponents each week; ultimately that won't cut it when playoff time rolls around.

I'm hopeful that the Steelers show up against Indy; and if they can't beat them, at least play a full 60 minutes and keep it close. After the Ravens game and with Big Ben probably not back to a full 100%, I'm a bit apprehensive about next Monday night...

I don't know if some of you were watching the same game I was, but from where I sat, Maddox was freaking pathetic!!! There were so many wobbly, bobbly bad passes that he threw, it was a testament to the ability of those who were able to, by some MIRACLE, reach or stretch and somehow catch them. JP, didn't you see when he just dropped the ball right out of his hand and the Ravens jumped on it?
He wasn't even being touched! A turn-over is a turn-over, whether it's an interception or a fumble. Then in the 4th, when the announcer said, "that should have been intercepted" by so and so on the Ravens, I just started to LOL, as it was hopeless! The one fluke was the good pass that Ward didn't catch and kicked...one in a million, with that one. If Cowher won't use Randle El, you mean to tell me there isn't a ROOKIE QB on the team? Look how good Ben turned out to be. Anyone would have been better than "Oops Maddox"!!!
