The whole night was a great time. All five bands put on great performances, starting with Blind Jonny Death’s rootsy Americana sounds, continuing with Plazma’s nonstop jam grooves, The Nightcrawlers tasty melting pot of sounds (Noah Figlin’s Page-meets-Plant display on Zeppelin’s “Ramble On” was jaw-droppingly incredible!), Hexhed’s high-powered hard rock and Hair Force One’s onstage edition of “Headbanger’s Ball.”
The turnout was great, thanks to all the Rockpagers in the house (YankeeRose, Jason, Esa, DMFJ03, Chell and the “Hair Bears,” kissmydagoass and The Underground TV crew (watch for highlights of the Toys for Tots concert when the Underground TV begins its second season in January), Q94 2005 Calendar Girls Michelle, Emilie and Jen, 2004 Calendar Girl Stephanie and more. Thanks to the 3 Marine representatives for attending, also Whitey and Robin from Pennsylvania Musician for making the 2-hour roadtrip to be there.
The final tally: nearly $1,150 was raised, along with two big full boxloads of new toys for needy area children this coming holiday season! Again thanks to everybody who helped make this a huge success! And look for the 4th annual Toys for Tots benefit next November, no doubt!
