Album Rediscovered

Post by Mackovyak »

Well, I finally went out and bought Chris Cornell's Euphoria Morning. I think I let this pass years ago simply because it's such a cry from Soundgarden and I was sort of pissed.

I'm really digging this thing though. I think it really gives him credibility as a songwriter and I'm really digging the trippy shit going on with it (from a recording engineers perspective)

Thanks for starting this thread! It made me go back and look through all those LPs, cassettes, & CDs. Soooo much stuff that I really love and had forgotten.

This one is a bit of an oddity, but one of my all time favorites. Something about the album that I just connect with...
From December 1989, Tora Tora, Surprise Attack

Straight-up bluesy rock at it's finest! I STILL can't believe these guys didn't breakout A LOT bigger than what they did. If you like Tesla, you'll LOVE this album. Give it a listen... you won't be disappointed.

Thanks Mackovyak for reminding me about of all of the forgotten treasures.

HELL YES! I have that on CD and tape, and it ROCKS. Saw them in Charleston, SC way back in 1992 at The Flying Dutchman, and they were unreal. "Phantom Rider" still raises the hair on my arms. Hmm, wonder if HF1 or Scream will cover "Walkin' Shoes"?? 8)
Dood...

And speaking of straigh-up Blues-Rock, does anyone remember a band out of Seattle called New American Shame? They only put one major label release (they also had another disc, but I think it was an independent or an EP). NAS were the band that Buck Cherry wish they could have been.
