Suspended indefinitely because of being a jack ass.

Funny that it took this long...It's a shame that one of the most talented receivers in football is such an asshole. Apparantly he wants out of Philly. If I were them, I would just suspend him like they did and hold his contract until he buys it out or is too old to play anymore.

At the rate things are going with the Eagles, I think they needed to suspend T-O for his own safety, otherwise one of his own players might chop-block his knee just to put the guy out of commission and shut him up! And if he keeps slamming his QB, I wouldn't be surprised to see Donovan McNabb's mom run out onto the field and dump a scalding hot vat of Campbell's Soup down T-O's pants. Now THAT would be entertainment!

I still can't understand why they don't just give him his outright release. They are suspending him 4 games, which he'll lose about $800,000, but then they have to pay him for the rest of the games, even if he's on the inactive roster. NFL contracts aren't gauranteed money, so they should just release him and save some ca$h.

Green Bay and Houston would have first dibs on him, and why would the Eagles care if he went to either of those teams?

They won't release him because they don't want him to play, especially against them. They don't have to pay him if he's suspended for the year I believe.

Either way, he's screwed himself, and deservedly so. He'll be a rent a receiver for the rest of his career in the league, playing one year here, two there, etc. No one will give him a big multi-year contract.

Oh and, by the way, he's in part of a 7 year $49 million deal...Guess that's not enough...

T.O. = self-important prick. It's amazing that this jerk off is pissing away a sure trip to Canton because he can get enough of himself.

I used to be a fan (I thought he was awesome in the Super Bowl) until this. Nothing wrong with some show boating, but hanging your teammates out to dry like he did is way too reminiscent of Randy Moss and it's a sure way to a good, old fashioned ass-kicking. If I were McNabb, I'd have thrown him a few Paul "Wrecking" Crewe "nut balls" before he was suspended ("The Longest Yard," Sandler version reference).

T.O. probably watches game films and strokes off to himself. He'll regret it when he's trying to earn a living playing in the CFL.

They do have to pay him for the remaining games. The max he could be suspended for his comments under the players union is 4 games. He isn't suspended for the season by definition, he'll just be made inactive like as if he has an injury which means he still gets paid.

Much better for the Eagles to take the hit, pay him and get his sorry ass out of the lockerroom and off the field. What a complete jerk off he is ... I'm really having trouble wrapping my brain around this situation. It just blows my mind what a putz this guy is.

I have to wonder if a team like the Texans may take a gamble on him. Either way, I think that he’s destined to a career of 1-year contracts.

Heck, the Cowboys or Ravens probably wont take him.

Ravens wouldnt take him because they had him for 2 days - Owens said he wouldnt play in Baltimore and got shipped to Philadelphia..

I think it's official that Terrell Owens is the biggest arrogant, egotistical, asshole in the history of professional sports, and after witnessing the likes of Kobe Bryant, Barry Bonds, Dennis Rodman, Deon Sanders, Michael Irvin, and many others - T.O. takes the cake..

he better not go for any walks in Philadelphia, he's likely to get beaten within an inch of his life.

Couldn't have happened to a bigger asshole. The league needs to get rid of di^&%$#ds like him! I wish The Eagles would have put him on the 50
yard line with no pads, and let his teamates just slam the f%^k out of
him. Maybe some day he'll learn to keep his mouth shut. If not, shut it
for him! Football is a team sport, and he needs to learn that fact. With the money he makes, he needs to learn to be a "professional".

Yeah, no one will sign him for more than that most likely...even as good as he is, he has ruined a Philadelphia team that should have been in the Super Bowl this year. He's very talented but, not talented enough to win a game by himself.

I just heard T-O's press conference. Terrell sounded very sincere reading his apology script, saying he was sorry to the Eagles, Donovan McNabb, Andy Reid, management and the fans. But any credibility T-O might have gained reading his script was quickly shot to hell when his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, stepped to the microphone and opened his piehole. What an arrogant jackass!

If you're making a sincere apology to your team, why do you need to have your agent there to spin the apology for the press afterwards? And why isn't he apologizing face to face to his coach and teammates in the locker room, rather than in front of TV cameras?

Oh, I have no doubt that T-O will be playing again next year in another uniform, there will be desperate teams who will take the gamble with him because of what he delivers on the field. But I predict he will be a marked man, especially if the team he winds up with has to play the Eagles...

I was reading in the paper today that he won't be playing for any team. Might be more going on behind the scenes. Either way, the guy is a putz and should be taken out of football completely ..

Ok, the Raiders won't take him, because the EGO's will clash with him and Moss.

The Ravens won't take him because he's never been convicted of a crime.
