You're thinking of Cold Gin. They went through a bunch of different line-ups. They were supposed to come back to play City Limits a couple of years ago, but cancelled. I checked on some search engines, but no current information comes up about them, so I don't know if they're between line-ups again or broken up by now. There are several Kiss tribute bands called Cold Gin, the one that played around here was based out of Virginia.

You should try cleaning fake blood out of a Shure SM-58.

My buddy Coz played Ace in the Cold Gin you're talking about. He and I formed Chucklehead a couple years ago around here (with Hu Bast and Todd Burns on bass), then, after that dissolved, I got into Skruem (now RockDog) and eventually brought Coz into that band. They're still going (www.rockdog.net) tho I have hung up my microphone (at least for now - too much PhD-land baloney to deal with right now) Coz is still playing guitar for RockDog, and singing most of the stuff now that I am out.

I saw Cold Gin at Shakey's in Hershey one time - Paul was played by local (to that area) hero Eric Ziegmont (who back in the day played briefly with some semi-major national act at some point - I think it was Black n Blue, or someone like that), Gene was some guy from Michigan, actually, and Peter was a fella named Rick from the Harrisburg area - great job by all the guys in that band. Eric is now playing with a band called Sapphire, and Rick is not playing with anyone (he's still friends with Coz).

From what Coz tells me - those Kiss tributes tend to borrow each other's members a lot (Love Gun from Pittsburgh needs an Ace for a gig, they call Coz from Cold Gin; Cold Gin needs a Peter, maybe they call Kiss Army from Cleveland, etc......)

Anyway - that's my 2 cents...... :)

Wasn't Bobby Kise "Ace" in a Kiss tribute band? Not sure if it was that one or not.

Korruption's singer, Frank Dixon, now lives in Virginia Beach and does lawn and landscaping work. He also frequents the blues clubs in that area and sits in on harmonica. Frank usually makes it back up this way once or twice a year, around holidays.
