Back in the Tommi-Gunn days in the late 80's (when I "managed" and traveled with them), I remember getting obliterated at a gig at the 218 Club in Williamsport and heckling a heckler who was harassing the band, I'm surprised I didn't get into a fight! Later that night was the infamous post-gig debauchery at the hotel room, where I got sick as a dog and passed out, and the band shaved half my head (and wrote on Scott Zillinger's head, in permanent marker). The roadtrip back to Altoona the following day and the accompanying hangover rank as 2-3 of the most miserable hours of my life!
One of the funniest stupid things I ever saw a musician do during a gig was at Pellegrine's about 3 years ago. During the band Lloyd Dobbler Effect's first and last show there, their violin player, Javi, put on a dog head outfit and decided to step atop a row of Pelly's center-supported tables and try to do the Eddie Van Halen table walk from "Hot for Teacher" - He was stepping from the edge of one table to the edge of a second table, when - WHAP!!! - both tables toppled towards him, pancaking him in the middle like Wile E. Coyote in a Road Runner cartoon! The crowd laughed like hell as he wobbled incoherently for a second, regained his composure and stumbled back to the stage. (This incident wound up breaking one of the tables and a chair, leading to a near-violent confrontation between Harry Jr. and the band later that night after the show.)
I actually reviewed this show in "JP's Corner," it's still posted at this link (scroll down, it's near the end...):
