Oddest CD (or tape) in your music collection
Not sure if this one was ever posted here or not.
We all have those guilty pleasure cd's that don't exactly fit with other things in our collections that we love to listen to but might be ashamed to admit we own. So spill it guys... What's your guilty pleasure?
for me:
George Michael
Snow (yea the rapper)
Paula Abdul
A-ha

In my own defense, I did not buy the Waylon Jennings CD, I don't even know how it got in my car. However, it was one of the few that survived a bad crash a few years ago so I keep it around. I do like to play it once in a while just to watch Rob sing along to the "Dukes of Hazzard" theme song.
For booking info for the PETERSBURG TAVERN, call 669-9428 Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays after 8 p.m., Sundays 11 a.m.-5 p.m. or stop by.
Re: Hmm
Last November, my wife was flying home from San Francisco on business and when she boarded the plane their was a guy in her seat with another guy beside him. After they looked at their tickets the one guy was actually supposed to be 1 row up, their seats weren't actually together. So, my wife just said stay put and I'll sit in the seat 1 row up and you guys can sit together. The guy in her assigned seat was very grateful and talked with her some during the flight. He eventually told her who he was (she had no clue) and gave her a signed CD and offered her tickets to the show in Pittsburgh he was doing that night. It was Afroman and his Manager.Mackovyak wrote: and

Alabama, Clint Black (His first 3 CDs...
Wait a minute, I don't like country, or do I?
), Kool and the Gang, Earth, Wind & Fire, Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson, Paula Abdul, Gloria Estefan and The Miami Sound Machine (I never DID get anything with "Conga" on it...IMO, a great tune to dance to.) and Ace of Base. These next guilty 2 - I wonder if anybody remembers them...En Vogue "Funky Divas" ("My Lovin' - You're Never Gonna Get It", "Free Your Mind", and "Giving Him Something he Can Feel" were their 3 big tunes.) and
Color Me Badd "C.M.B." ("I Wanna Sex You Up" and "All 4 Love" were the 2 "hits" on that one.
). I enjoy Vivaldi, "The Four Seasons" and "Scottish Moods", too - yes, the latter is Bagpipes!

2 of the oddest cd's i have ever come across would be..
John Valby - American Troubador
now if you've never had the chance to listen to some John Valby - this guy is fuckin hilarious! Making normal everyday Americana songs completely vulgar and in-appropriate - it's sheer brilliance and hilarity at it's finest.. any and all Valby cd's are well worth it..
Jeanne and the Piano Man.
this is a 2 person group consisting of Michael Fillipelli (who is involved in another act I believe called "EZ Street" based out of York) and his female companion, Jeanne - i came across this act because Michael has been a friend of the family for years - and basically I got my hand on a copy of Jeanne and the Piano man - who are proclaimed "the most vulgar and dirty act in the harrisburg-york-lancaster" area - same flavor of raunchy comedy as John Valby - just as much of a riot to listen to

If you mean old as in when you bought it - then the oldest CD's I have were purchased in 94, and they were Green Day - Dookie, Nirvana - Unplugged, and Woodstock 94.
If you mean, what are the oldest CD's in my collection due to when they were released, that is probably Rush's self titled album back in 1974...I think.

Nihon Ska Dansu: the Best of Japanese Ska - It's amazing what you find in second-hand stores. It had a giant robot on the cover, so I had to buy it.
ABBA Gold - Swiss cheese is good, but Swedish cheese doesn't melt in your CD deck.
I don't have it, but somebody here has to 'fess up to owning the Strong Bad Sings CD. Where's Esa . . . .

Klaatu
4 albums by a band named "Klaatu" very cool kind of Pink Floyd pop rock. I really have evryhting from George Micheal to Rage to Pillar to Abba. I love music!
Some CD's are just a rush to listen to, like "Permanent Waves" or "Grace Under Pressure".
While some are just fun like "The Escape Club"
