Lamb of god- ashes of the wake!!!!!! shit...any album by them!
Carcass- heartwork
old mans child- in defiance of existence
Good call....

Children of Bodom - Hatebreeder is an insane album that needs to be listed here as well. I've always thought that Michael Amott's best guitar work was on the Hearwork album.

I knew you'd pull thru with the DT Rob! I didn't expect the Vai's Fire Garden though!

I haven't seen any of the 'X' bands listed: Symphony X, Planet X, etc....
.

All kinetic, no potential.

A great metal album I'm listening to right now that I almost forgot about...

Angel Dust - Enlighten the Darkness - A concept album by German metalheads coming to grips with how Hitler and Naziism took over their people and homeland, through the eyes of a soldier on the frontlines. Powerful and interesting stuff...

Lots of good stuff posted here, but isn't Judas Priest considered metal? If so, I'd have to add Hell Bent for Leather, British Steel and Defenders of The Faith.
