I just wanted to remind you about
the East Coast Band Network, a place for musicians to get together and "talk shop".
I have done my best to customize it specifically for Performing Musicians, and anyone involved in the "local" music business. Categories include:
- Venues
- Radio (with added focus on Local music)
- Band Showcases & Open Mics
- Recording Studios and CD Duplication
- Artist Management
- Recording Studios
- Merchandise outlets
Stop by and take a quick look around. I think you'll find it to be, if nothing else, a place for you to add to your list of on-line music resources. Sure, you've got Musician's Friend, and DEFINITELY Rockpage, but you might also find the East Coast Band Network to be a place where you can also accomplish some of your important band promotion stuff, and even get a few tips from the band down the street.
You never know who you might meet there, or what you might learn. I see the Nightcrawlers are active here. I know they ended up organizing a gig through the ECBN earlier this year. It can happen, and people from as far away as NJ, NY, and even GA are posting there. Check it out!
By the way, I have a lot of respect for Rockpage, and Rockpage's founder. In no way do i mean to take anything away from Rockpage, nor do i mean any disrespect by posting an "ad" for another forum here. The ECBN is quite different from Rockpage, really-- but I do see it as a fine supplement to Rockpage, which maybe you'll stop by once in a while when you're finished here. the ECBN members would be very fortunate to have some of you come over and share in the discussions.
Thanks for reading!
