great metal albums

Post by SpellboundByMetal »

there have been a few new releases for '05 that really kick ass:

Withered - memento mori
Detonation - Portals to Uphobia
God Forbid- IV: Constitution of Treason
Arcturus - sideshow symphonies
Cryptopsy - once was not
Roadrunner United- the all star album
Scar Symmetry- Symetric in design
Opeth - Ghost Revries
Devildriver- fury of our maker's hand
Old Man's Child- Vermin
Dimmu Borgir- Stormblast (re-recording)

i cant wait for Type O Negative's new album!!!!!!!!!

of course there are a bunch more great metal albums.
such as Sepultura's "Arise" or Slayer's "god hates us all"
hahaha, almost every one from those bands kick ass. id like to hear what some of you think are great metal albums. id personally like to get into more music. i think we can make a master list of "must own metal". anyway, take it easy!

I'm still hooked on Strapping Young Lad's Alien, my favorite metal album so far this year. I gotta throw it in the CD player at least once a week.

Dopesmoker is good but the thing about that record is that they copied from the Melvins Lysol LP.One long continious song. They released not too long after The Melvins did it.
Nothingface is a great album,Angel Rat not so much.
The lastest Voivod album is really good, but I prefer older Voivod.
Any album that the mighty NEUROSIS has put out is excellent, then to see them live is a whole different world, fucking intense.
