If there was such a thing and I could afford them, :) I'd be interested in buying "Willie Parker Futures"! Great game, I'm VERY
cautiously optimistic that the Steelers were that good and it
wasn't that Tennessee sucked! :-)

I didn't watch the whole game yesterday. But what I did see was just short of amazing. They played really good. And Parker was great ..

I was in Eagles territory (south Jersey) last week and all I heard about was how the Steelers were F-worded without Staley and Bettis.

I just told them to watch Parker, if their eyes could keep up with him.

It would be cool to run Parker throughout the game, and towards the end of the 3rd quarter, use the big guys more up the middle to apply the meatgrinder and finish off the defenses.

Willie Parker really stepped up. Once Duce and the Bus are back, the Steelers will boast a phenomenal backfield and a phenomenal running game barring any o-line injuries. As thin as they are on the o-line, one bad injury could seriously hurt them.

But at this point, they look damn good.

You almost have to wonder if the bus and staley were thinking that they may be spending even more time on the sidelines this year even after the injuries heal. Lets just hope that we see the first string work as hard.

They aren't going to let the bus sit on the sideline all year. You know he will play. With having parker, the bus, and staley. they could easily switch them from play to play, every couple of plays. give them a rest, you know what I mean.

Atleast that is what I would do anyhow ..

Well, at least Staly will have some help this year marching the football all the way down the field so that the bus can take it in from 2-3 yards out.

Why fix something that isn't broken? I say if Willie keeps running the ball like this, don't change it.

Yeah, I have to agree...You hate for players to lose a position to injury but, if Cowher thought like that, we wouldn't have experienced Big Ben's rookie of the year performance fully. This situation is different, as Ben was the heir to the job this year anyways but, still, you can't bench someone that's a beast like Parker if he keeps producing at that level.

Hey, i'm all for the black and gold in the super bowl, I never wanted it to seem any other way. I'm just saying that the guys making the big bucks are saying (DAMN) watching the new guy. Hell, a triple threat is not a bad thing.

I read that Big Ben is questionable for this week, , Bruised Knee? Hope the Ben Injuries don't start and jeoporadize our season.

I heard that this morning too, Bobby, on the radio. They said that he has a injured knee and is questionable for the game. If he doesn't play, Maddox will be the starting QB.

Either way, the steelers just need to keep their gameplan going. Run the ball down the other teams throat! I mean what was big ben anyway last game? 9 for 11! All other plays were runs...It's all good!

with 218 yards, 2 TDs and no INT. That translates into a passer rating of 158.3! Puke on the NFL statkeepers though. Although he leads #1 Drew Bledsoe 158.3 to 143.4, he doesn't have enough attempts to qualify for the passing leaders! Doh!

Tommy coming in for a game or two isn't a bad thing......if you remember, we all thought he was the best thing since sliced bread after that coco puffs situation. Tommy and Batch are both good back ups, and with the running game like it is, they'll be just fine.

There's 2 days to game time, so Ben could still play. I know, let's all try to send him some Positive Energy so his boo-boo knee gets all better! I'm only 1/2 joking... :)

Peace,

I am hoping Ben plays. Nothing against Maddox, I think he is the best back up around. It is just skepticism that makes me think otherwise, you never know though. The Texans are suppose to be pretty good this year, so we will see.

I agree with Parker making the "Big Buck" players wonder is a good thing .. I am very optimistic that he will continue to do great this year. And a triple threat is what the rest of the NFL needs.
