Drummers are only there so the bassists have a stand to set their drinks on and a hook to hang their sweat towels.

Bass is the hell where all bad singers go. I should know, I'm one of them! ;)

No, no, seriously, I love playing bass. Such a huge weight taken off my shoulders it seems.

Here's the thing: bass players are picky sons of bitches. It comes from being sought after. I've played bass for twenty years and want to gig again, but no one (and I mean no one) is into doing what Chris (the drummer I'm writing with) and I want to do. It's a shame. I've avoided posting an ad b/c I know I'll be invited to play in numerous metal or classic rock projects . . . not my thing. However, if anyone wants to write and play indie label stuff, feel free to drop me a line (especially if you're a guitar player interested in such a project).

I'd consider a band invite, but it'd have to be out of the ordinary, hence the age-old problem.

Peace~

I dunno...I just want to find a classic rock band that's playing a couple times a week. I play bass , guitar , and sing lead n back-up....actually , pretty well.

....but I started on bass....call me ...I need the money !

Good points. I'll bet that if someone was looking for a bassist for a funk project, they'd have less of a problem finding one.
... and then the wheel fell off.
