Do you know anything about Peavey drums?

Well peavey makes higher end stuff, but it's hard to find. Most of the stuff around here is their lower end stuff and you'd be better off with Pearl or Yamaha. What make is the peavey though?

I had a five piece Radial Pro 1000 Peavey set back in 98. The kick sounded awesome probably one of the best Kicks I heard at that time, snare was ok, but the toms were hard to tune. I got That kit mainly for the looks. Only Played out with it like 4 times. The newer Peavey are junk.

The low end Peavy kits are good for the money. I know Butch Robinson got one for his main kit, I heard it down town at the plaza and it sounded very good.

While I think it sounds good and is priced right, there is a reason why Ludwig, Pearl and Yamaha cost more.

If you're giggin a lot get something better. If you're an occasional weekend warrior, it might serve you well.

Redneck punk, what did you do with the Radial kit ? I always wanted to see/hear one.

I sold it some time ago, I wish I hadn't though. I started collecting kits, and that one would have been nice to have for my collection.

I wasn't really looking to play out with it or anything, but someone I know may have found a set used. I think the kit sold new for $600, plus cymbals, (not sure what make) so I figured there's about $800 wrapped up in it. I believe it will go for less than half of that.

i have an international series 2 it was bought in 03 by my cousin. when he went to iraq i kept it for him. sounded like utter crap,but i put a set of evans heads on em and bought a zildjan cymbal pack for it. i have been playin them for about 6 months and i think for what they r the sound is good! but like i said i have only been playin drums for 6 months. gonna get a better set some time but for now it is ok.

Any drum can sound good if you tune them well, ive played a set before and they were ok after i tuned them.
