ATTENTION DRUMMERS...A LEGEND IS COMING!!!

Post by ToonaRockGuy »

Well, not a legendary drummer, but a legendary drumkit and tech!! :D

WHERE: DRUM WORLD, PITTSBURGH

WHEN: SEPTEMBER 10, 2005

WHAT: The "S.S. Peart", the DW Drumkit that Neil Peart used for Rush's 30th Anniversary Tour last year will be on display for the day! Also on hand for a clinic and Q&A session will be Neil's legendary Drum Tech, Lorne "Gump" Wheaton.

I can't go, but someone better go and take a frickin' camera! I wanna see this!!

Nice!

Kev: the guy I always wanted to see was Bobby Rock (Vinnie Vincent Invasion, Nelson). His kit is total drool worthy.
The person below me enjoys a good spanking.

Yes, it is. And look carefully, you'll see that all the hardware is GOLD. And yes, kids, that's all 18K plated gold. If you look at the right lower side of the pic, you'll even see that Neil has his kick drum pedals plated in gold. As far as I know, the only ones that DW has done that for is Neil and Zoro (Lenny Kravitz).

See that kit? That's Neil Peart's kit. He's one of the greatest talents to ever pick up a drumstick.
The rest of you have no need for a kit like that whatsoever.
(Somebody post a pic of Bun E. Carlos' kit)
See that kit? Get really good on that one, then work your way up. Most of you will never need more than one or two more pieces beyond that, and any more really just takes up stage space.
Signed, Everyone Other Than Drummers. :D ------>JMS

Ask and ye shall recieve....the SS Peart, with The Professor himself at the controls. This is the kit that was used on the "Vapor Trails" tour. It's the same setup, but the drums are red sparkle finish. At the time this pic was taken, the 30th Anniversary kit was being built by DW.
