Movies = SPINEBELT

Post by JayBird »

So yesterday my girlfriend and I decided to rent some movies from the "Movie Gallery" inside the Indiana Wal-Mart. Since Hell's Kitchen wouldn't be on we knew it would be a dual night without some televised entertainment.

So we rented a low budget horror flick called, GHOST WATCHER. Released in 2004, this had to be one of the worst movies I've seen in years. Bad camera work, bad acting, bad specials effects, you name it, it was bad.

Here is the highlight of the movie though. All through the movie the songs being played in the backgroud were actually decent. So as a typical music lover I wanted to see the credits to find out who I had just heard. Much to my suprise a band by the name of Spinebelt had five songs on the sound track. I quickly wrote the songs down and headed to the internet to see if this Spinebelt was the Eastern, PA hard rock band. Lost Ledny had actually played with these guys at the Tourist Inn in Hellam, PA. Well sure enough it was the PA based band, Spinebelt. I thought that that was really awesome and made the movie experience worth so much more! Congrats to those guys...how cool is that!?

This is indeed true, I am great friends with Butch ( vocalist ) and he told me about a year ago that this was in the works. Spinebelt is a GREAT band and if you ever get the chance to see them DO IT !!
I'm glad I didn't have to fight in a war, I'm glad I didn't get killed or kill somebody, I hope my kids enjoy the same lack of manhood

Spinebelt just reformed with their original line-up after going on hiatus late last year. I'm already hearing good things about them since the reformation; I hope to see them in action again soon!
