Sounds like an intro... I kept waiting for the guitars to come in. 
The creepiest thing I ever heard, I downloaded from Kazaa a few years ago. It was just low male voices singing,"Ahhh...", one chord, starting with just a few, adding voices singing the same minor chord, getting louder and louder, with more and more voices, punctuated by the occasional tortured scream, until the voices were ahhh-ing at the top of their lungs.
That's power, right there. Never ever doubt the emotional weight that music throws around.
No guitars, or instruments of any kind.
No lyrics.
No beat.
Just pure, piss-in-your-pants emotional response. At the same time, it was metal, and folk, and Gregorian chant, and Halloween sound effect, and I probably wouldn't play it with little kids around. I never played the damn thing the whole way through, and it makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck just thinking about it. I'd love to write something like that.------>JMS
