Devil's Rejects Reveiw

I went and saw Devil's Rejects Friday night, I thought it was a good ending to the cult classic House of a 1000 corpses. Rob Zombie did Otis, Baby, and Capt. Spaulding justice(i thought). Not as much blood and gore as House but Otis is a riot thru the whole thing. Captain Spaulding character came out(finally).I was wondering (if you saw the movie) should there be a prequel to House. What about all the killings before House. You need to go to www.thedevilsrejects.com and check out each characters history. It blew my mind. Awesome description of all of them. Puts things into perspective, for me at least. So all in all I give Devil's Rejects a B+. Good movie but needs more killing.

Esa and I checked it out on Friday afternoon. I agree the humor rocked, but definately needed more flesh carving. Maybe the theatrical version was toned down in the gore department so they could add it in for the DVD release.

It actually got two thumbs up from Ebert & Roeper, though they said many times it is dark. They said it's good at what it is, which is why they liked it.

I was disappointed, but not really. I mean, from the original, you see alot of abuse to the cheerleaders and eventually the "novelists"...that was cool. You got to see how Baby and her family would lure people in. How they seemed stable in a lot of aspects and then went neurotic at the flip of a blade... In DR, there was some killing...and it tied in with the plot...but there was no carving...no murder spree...nothing that did this movie much justice. Gratuitis nudity was great though. And the woman behind me gasping every time they shot/stabbed/what not somone was great. heh.
All in all, it wasn't what I expected, but was.... Could have been better, but didn't flat out suck.
