i follow my heart and if i end up in the unemployment line, then i get what i get. BUT ill never know until i try , right? i am not afraid to fail.
MD is far from a metal utopia. we didnt have a local show on tv about it like there is here. but in MD, no one expects you to kiss cheeks because of who they are or arent. its more of a music speaks for itself thing there. ALOT of it sucks too. and when i say "sucks" , everyone, it is my opinion. i dont represent all of you or any of you. i should say it a different way other than "sucks", but i cant think of one.
i do respect most of you from either personal convos or just truth on the post. and without rock and top 40, there would be no rebelious metal. we all can co-exist. "shit comes in all hues" according to Peter Steele. what i am trying to say is: no matter WHAT anyone says from this point on, i WONT respond ignorantly. i am no longer using words in my vocabulary like: "fucker, asshole, bitchass, cocksucker or motherfuckers".

EVEN if you call me a "cockucking asshole faggot pussy", i wont respond in a negative way. i think this will help us get to know eachother, and stop all the walls being built. this requires respect from both ME and YOU.
i am willing , are you??

Kevin, from what I hear, Sunday August 21st is an awesome night to be at Pelly's too.

And it was my history teacher who was always hung over. Someone once told me that he stole a police cruiser while drunk and then wrecked it, but I don't know how true that is.

All money made from shows should be used for promotion in my opinion. Recently I was playing my acoustic on my car and someone walked past and gave me a dollar. I later gathered more money from my car and bought a cheeseburger. That was the best tasting dollar I ever earned playing guitar.

It's a defense mechanism that validates the person by giving them a context by which to judge him or herself against reference groups (i.e. people who are "sell outs"). "Intergrity" is just another obstacle that the ego has to overcome to realize the infinity which exist in life. "Intergrity" is just as superficial as "selling out".
Perhaps the label "integrity" and the self-promotion of that characterisitic could be construed as an obstacle along that path, but that path cannot be trod without the selfless practice of integrity's traits.

Huh?
Touche, Jeff.

Now you're getting quite abstract on me. Do you greet people with the word "namaste"?

I'm an existentialist, so I believe that people are defined more by actions than labels. But as an existentialist, I also believe that life's intrinsically meaningless, so labels give people context as they define their being. But on the one hand, nobody can fully know what constitutes another's being. Unless of course, the other person uses the looking-glass self to define his or herself. Then the being is in essence defined by external social confrontations.

BTW, you may find it ironic that I'm saying that it's pointless to define oneself, then go and call myself an existentialist. Existentialist is simply an objective umbrella term used to classify a certain set of beliefs, thought processes, ect. i.e. a philosophy laid out by Kierkegaard, Sartre, Camus, ect. The same could be said if one called himself or herself a Christian, rational, black, caucasion, Brittish, ect. Those are objective terms that can be quantified. Things like integrity, sell out, good, and evil are subjective terms that are abstract at best. Also, how one defines his or her being with this adjectives and nouns is important. I don't use the term existentialist to give my life context. It's just a term I use when explaining a philosophy that I hold.

Wow, I didn't mean to go off on a tangent like I did.

....And it's also interesting to note that while I'm involved in science (studying psychology), one would believe me to be a rational, but I'm very much an empiricist.

Is it schizoid paranoia or just existential blues?
