Just saw "Pitch Black" for the first time.....

Post by Bag »

And these guys are REALLY good! Good mix of tunes and a good sound & light show. The band is very good, but the female singer(they have 2 vocalists, 1 male, 1 female) is INCREDIBLE! I think her name is Angela Oertner (sp?). This girl should go straight to "American Idol" and try out. Singing everything from Janis Joplin to Guns-n-Roses, and making it sound good. I usually don't care for female vocalists in a "rock" band, but I was very impressed. She's also not hard on the eyes

Has anyone else seen this girl sing? I believe they're from the Lewistown area.

I was trying to attach a picture but couldn't. Here's a link if you want to check them out.

No I'm DEFINATELY NOT Wooliebooger!

And that chick can sing her (nice 8) ) ass off! :D
The pics don't do her justice.

Whisker, I had no idea Zinn was in the band when I went. I sat down at the bar during their break and the sick SOB came up behind me and KISSED my cheek! I'm still scrubbing my face with a brillo pad! :D It was also good to see Earl (Axl) running lights again. I'll have to check them out again (right after WiskerBisket of course) soon!

P.S. Go to their site and click on a pic of Zinn. Typical sick Zinn, funny tho!

Zinn and Earl... boy that takes me back. Earl ruined my life once :D . And Zinn, there's a guy who paid his dues... is Eric Deamer in that band? (Ex-Thin Ice) Great guitarist, started playing bars at 13 with Defiance, at that time, one of PA's top bands. Imagine that... the debauchery you experienced at 22 or 23, and you're only in junior high. Is Boz the male vocalist? I want to see these guys.----->JMS

Boz is the male vocalist, but he had the flu Saturday night. I guess they called Hoover at the last minute and he did the songs he knew the words to.(And a couple he didn't, lol!) No Eric Deamer tho. I remember that kid, he could play! The guitarists were Mike McCartney, and Adam Becker(young kid). Mark Paige on drums.

I want to hear how Axl, er..., ummm... Earl ruined your life. Let's hear it!
