Hurricane Season

Post by facingwest »

I just found out that hurricane season actually starts in June instead of September.....DOH!! Last year, Kenny and I were in Hurricane Charley. Thank God the eye was 70 miles away from the island instead of a direct hit. They are predicting this year is supposed to be worse. We'll see. ;) Depending on how severe one is and how close it comes near, I'm sitting outside and watching it again.

The Outer Banks of North Carolina can start bracing now...I'm planning a vacation weekend there in the beginning of August, so there's sure to be a Category 3 arriving at about the same time...

And we're headed towards the carolinas at the end of august...so here's hoping things go well.
We're usually there the middle of July, get a big old storm for two days and the rest of it is beautiful weather.
I wanna live there someday...

Trying to reason w/ Hurricane Season!

Post by Mackovyak »

Well, guess this is a cool time to announce this. I'm getting the heck out of Dodge!

Not really the hurricanes, that are doing it, but I'm leaving S. Florida for Myrtle Beach in a few weeks. It was a good couple of years here, but it's time to leave the studio and the area.

Things that suck about South Florida....
7. Lack of good wing places
6. High Rent
5. Hurricanes
4. All the girls want to be Paris Hilton
3. All the acoustic guys have Karaoke backing tracks.
2. @sshole Drivers who still think they're in New York
1. Miami and the whole hip hop music scene.....blaaaaaaagh.

Fun things about South Florida
6. Snorkeling whenever you want.
5. Hurricane Parties!!!!!
4. The Weather is here
3. Rum runners at Holiday Isle and weekend trips to the Keys
2. The Tattoo Scene
1. The Parrot Lounge, The Elbo Room, and Ernie's BBQ

Anyway Ski, stay safe down there on the Island of Bones don't forget to stock up on Batteries, Flashlight, Rubbers, Rum, and other non-parishibles!

Pirates of the Carribean or however you spell it.

You said to make sure that Ski had the rum packed.

When Jack is left on that island the second time, and Ms. Swan lights the rum on fire to send up a smoke signal.
