Write your Congressmen!

High-ranking members of Congress want to take the war on drugs to a whole new level. Here are some of their new draconian laws:

- increase penalties for every drug offense.
- a mandatory 2-year prison term for anyone who knows someone is selling marijuana on a college campus and fails to report it to the police within 24 hours.
- a mandatory 5-year prison term for someone at a party who passes a marijuana joint to someone who has been enrolled in drug treatment at some point in their life.
- mandatory life imprisonment with no possibility of parole for anyone convicted a third time under the RAVE Act.

Sickening. More info can be found here
... and then the wheel fell off.

I just wish they were smart enough to do things where needed and not go overboard. I believe some of these laws should apply for heroin and crack but not pot. Even though pot doesn't agree with me and I don't smoke it I know its less addictive and less harmful than booze and rather natural.
Don't bitch to me about the economy while you're still buying Chinese products.
